2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 OleR (3676) - Oslo, - NOV 20, 2009
From keg at the brewery during the RBNAG 2009. ABV is 4,7%. A mediumsized, coarse white head over pale golden colored body. Modest, but clean and dry malt aroma. A cider-ish apple scent, too. Taste is dryish-sweet, light buttery malts. Notes of yeast and acidulous apples. Low on the hops. Light to medium body. Dry malty, quite crisp finish. Does not stand out, good drinkability though.

On tap at the brewpub. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is grass, apple, fruit. Flavour is fruit, sourness, apple, malt, hint of wheat. Easy drinkable beer.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. It’s a clear, golden beer with good carbonation and a good off-white head. Grass, apples, slighlty sourish and fresh nose with wheat and biscuits. Biscuity, fruity and citrusy flavor with grass and some wheat. Medium body, crisp mouthfeel. Grassy finish with pleasant bitterness. Very refreshing, but it seems to be slighlty infected. Couldn’t get a reasonable answer on what was intended, so I guess it’s the way he wants it. 091107
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beer3000 (3118) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 27, 2009
From keg at the brewery during the RBNAG 2009, ABV is 4,7%. Almost clear, golden body with a nice white head. Aroma is light malt and acidic fruity. Flavor is also quite light malty with an apple type acidity and hint of yeast. Medium to thin body with an acidic aftertaste. I have problems to decide if I really appreciate the acidity in this beer or not. It isn’t rally unpleasant, but a bit odd in this kind of beer IMO. I think I might be able to get used to it at this level, but I won’t go bananas with my score anyway. A fun experience to visit the brewery anyway.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Sigmund (3722) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2007
On tap at the brewpub / farm "gasthof". Served by the brewer himself, I also had a brief look at the brewery. ABV is 3.75%. The only beer on at the moment, but "Mørk Suldøl" is also a regular and the low ABV "Slåttøl" is a summer seasonal. The farm / brewery is situated next to one of Norway’s best salmon rivers. "Glad Laks" (= Happy Salmon = Jolly Fellow) is a golden lager, slightly hazy with a moderate head. Pleasant but moderate malty aroma, hints of butterscotch, toffee and melons. Flavour and mouthfeel are rather weak, with too modest hops. Some "dusty" / "dry" hops in the aftertaste. I expect the "Mørk Suldøl" to be better than this.
