COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
99 Not Out SKW (Shane Keith Warne) Pale Ale is a sessionable, new world style Pale Ale. Hopped with New Zealand Kohatu and Cascade hops, it displays spicy/earthy hop notes, a strong malt backbone and a nicely balanced bitterness (35 IBUs). The perfect beer for summer.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale amber colour with a large dense white head (looks tremendous) which lasted the distance. Very malty aroma with some grass and tropical fruit. Initial sweetness gives way to a dry lingering bitter finish. Light to medium body. Quite sessionable. I’m not sure what Warney’s involvement is, I like to think he did the lautering, but I quite enjoyed this drop.

From a bottle. Pours super gassy with a thick coarse head, fresh fruity aroma, super carbonated. I think I got a dud batch, couldn’t drink it.

Not much of a floral aroma. Seems more lager than pale ale. Reasonable on taste. And a bitter finish. Just ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malt aromas without any of the floral styles that the top examples of this style. Good bitterness and very drinkable without being distinctive. An ok beer.

330mL bottle Pours a slightly hazy pale amber body, holding a dense white inch of head. Nice enough aroma, not to pungent; peppery spices, hop resin, light citrus and overripe tropical fruits with a subtle underlying biscuity malts. Medium body, carbonation perhaps a tad coarse drying out the palate a bit too much. Pretty simple affair on the body; light biscuity, toasty malts, with a decent dose of spicy, slightly leafy, fruity hop. Finishes probably a touch short, a peppery bitterness of moderate measure lingers. A bit of a gimmic, and Warney has never been regarded for his sense of taste, but it’s surprisingly an alright beer.

Expected more from Australia’s greatest spin bowler :-) The pour is impressive hazy Amber with thick beige head. Aroma is mainly from the cascade hops and flavor is a mix of tropical fruits and what is a bit of a muddy finish. Glad I bought one, not a six pack.

Amber pour, decent white head. Big malt aroma but very little else - miniscule amount of citrusy hops. Taste was similar - there wasn’t much apart from the malt/caramel - very little bitterness or hoppiness to speak of. Warney - dead set legend. Warney beer - yeah, not so much..

330mL bottle. Pours slightly cloudy copper with a small lasting white head. Citrus zest and spice in the aroma with yeast esters. Spice and yeast esters seem to dominate the flavour.

Draught at Stones Corner Hotel, Brisbane. Poured a slightly cloudy golden amber colour with a few millimetres of white bubbles for a head that retained poorly but laced OK. Carbonation low to medium with large bubbles. Aroma initially lager-like with strong malt but then followed by a mild hops presence. Taste initially moderately sweet but subdued then followed by a strong hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth, clean, crisp with a long but mildly bitter finish.

330ml bottle from Dan Murphys. Had to try it just for the Warne brand and being a past big Moa fan.... (until I discovered much better beer coming out of NZ). Not much to write home about here ; the Moa pale I find much nicer as this was fairly ordinary with little flavour and not so pleasant aroma. Went down well, but it was a hot day and there?s much better pales out there. I tried, but can honestly say I don?t think I?ll buy again.
