COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Blanc Evolution is bottle fermented in the Belgian-style with a small amount of coriander added during its extended maturation time giving it a unique spiciness. Described as a rich, mouth-filling beer, it’s really a true wheat lover’s beer and a staple of the Moa Reserve range.

Tasting Notes
Moa Blanc Evolution has a slight fruity aroma and a crisp, refreshing finish. Stone fruit and hazelnut flavours compliment the distinctive dominant spicy and phenolic characters. With a subtle hop aroma and bitterness, Moa Blanc Evolution is well paired with lightly aged cheeses, smoked and savoury meals, or on its own for a satisfying pint. Moa Blanc Evolution is best served at approximately 4˚C in a pilsner glass.

My Bottom Line:
Curaçao and coriander seeds swing into lemongrass and lime allusions in this slick, perfumy Witbier interpretation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty golden.
-This was not as bubbly as expected (higher carbonation would have helped make the spiciness easier to consume).
-The finish is relatively quiet, compared to the aroma and flavor profile (still spicy though, of course).
-A lightly oily sweetness is not necessary for the style, imho.
-There was no date on the bottle, so I wonder if this was as fresh as it deserved to be.

Bottle.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/16/2014. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a nice 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big lemon, pear, orange peel, coriander, floral, wheat, bread, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of lemon, orange peel, pear, wheat, coriander, floral, bread, pepper, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of citrus peel, light fruits, wheat, coriander, pepper, floral, clove, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice flavor balance with good complexity; though it is a bit watery; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Quite dry on the finish as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good witbier style. Nice flavor balance and complexity; and extremely smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable and refreshing offering.

Clear straw with some slight chill haze, under a bubbly white head. Nose was really fruity with tones of lemon and orange peel and lots of coriander. Flavor was super nice. Strong stone fruit tones with some orange peel and coriander, a kiss of hop bitterness, a tone that strangely reminded me of chocolate (?), and a flavor that is best described as sauteed asparagus with black pepper (in a good way). Most exciting witbier Ive tried in a good long while.

Not a bad beer. Had a nice balanced flavour and enjoyable prickly carbonation. This is a witbier I would have again.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of metal, wheat, corn, a bit of alcohol, some grain, coriander seed and bunches of yeast. Medium-bodied; Pungent wheat and coriander seed freshness with some curacao, grassy and herbal light hoppiness, a bit of corn and a good yeast flavour with a lot of body for the style. Aftertaste showing some light spiciness, a bit of grassy hops, a good wheat backbone and the quite pungent yeast and coriander seed flavour - but the big surprise here is the excellent and very full-body. Overall, a nice and slightly typical wit, but the body is a nice note, but the corn and slight metallic note rubs the wrong way. Still, a nice beer to try, if you can find it! I sampled this 37,5 cL ’split’ bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Miami (South Beach), Florida on 18-September-2012 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on 04-January-2013.

The aroma is like a spiked ginger ale with spices and citrus added. The appearance is hazy orange gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma but a touch sour. The palate is typical for the style. Overall fun to drink.

Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours golden with a huge white head and a floral aroma. There is a slightly sweet fruit flavor with residual spices. Quite refreshing and easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light orangey-straw color with a solid white head, good retention and lacing. Nose is hay, yeast, lemons. Mouth is medium bodied with a slight sweetness up front, and then some lemony notes, bread, spice and a hint of the coriander. Finishes with a fading bitterness. Decent.

375ml bottle in a plastic cup. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel and pale malts with wheat, and a good amount of New Zealand hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good witbier.

Hazy orange colour with thick creamy white head. Big spicy coriander aroma. Meaty wheat flavours with bold orange peel/coriander aftertaste.
