COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Blanc Evolution is bottle fermented in the Belgian-style with a small amount of coriander added during its extended maturation time giving it a unique spiciness. Described as a rich, mouth-filling beer, it’s really a true wheat lover’s beer and a staple of the Moa Reserve range.

Tasting Notes
Moa Blanc Evolution has a slight fruity aroma and a crisp, refreshing finish. Stone fruit and hazelnut flavours compliment the distinctive dominant spicy and phenolic characters. With a subtle hop aroma and bitterness, Moa Blanc Evolution is well paired with lightly aged cheeses, smoked and savoury meals, or on its own for a satisfying pint. Moa Blanc Evolution is best served at approximately 4˚C in a pilsner glass.

12.7oz bottle. Pours golden and kind of clear for a wit. Nice foamy head. Spice and citrus aromas. Citrus coriander and maybe star anise flavors. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375ml green bottle, corked. Pours a light lemony yellow, hazy. Large white cap, lots of lacing. Nose has wheat, orange, spice. Taste has wheat, coridander, light hoppy finish. Some yeast, hop and spice notes lingering. Medium bodied, tight carbonation. Pretty good, seems to have a bit more going for it than your average wit. Enjoyable.

The Blanc Revolution pours a mostly hazy crisp golden yellow with a thin bubbly beige head that is easily agitated. The aroma is fruit and coriander with bread. The flavor is light fruit, coriander, and a touch of honey and bread. Overall this is a very solid beer.

375 ml corked and crowned bottle. Pours a pale yellow gold color with a million tiny bubbles building to a massive rocky white head that dissipates somewhat slowly. Yeasty wheat malt aroma with notes of chalk, lemon peel and coriander. Tart citrus wheat flavor reminiscent of dry white wine. Spicy malt mid taste has notes of white pepper and coriander. Finishes dry and tart with notes of grassy hops.

Bottle from Xroads. Poured a hazy light yellow with a larger foamy white head. Aroma is odd. Sort of a fruity wit with lots of white grape juice, wheat, wet toast, apricots, light spice and some corriander. Body is medium with lively carbonation that dies down and an average to quicker fading aftertaste. Flavor of white grspe juice, champagne, sweet sugary fruit, light toast. Meh not impressed for the big $$ tag.

The cork pops up right quick and it pours heavily carbonated, lively, with lots of head that disappears quite quickly. The aroma is a lot of citrus with a hint of wheat. Flavour is murky wheatiness. Mouthfeel is uncomfortable due to the heavy carbonation. Not particularily good.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Bright yellow with a lasting pillowy head. Wheaty aroma with equal (light)elements of spice and fruit. Wheaty and estery, with the classic elements of orange peel and coriander. Thankfully this beer stays firmly on the dry side of the style, avoiding sugary sweetness. Brisk carbonation. Solid.

Hold your hand over the cork!!! Maybe served a little warm, but rather lively. Clear as a bell, the beer pours a light yellow with frothy head. Hopping is light and classical for this style. There are hints of grass and citrus on the nose, and the palate is rounded and orange-coriander. Perfectly pleasant, but nothing worth the excessive carbon footprint of getting it over from NZ. Could have just as easily gone over to Belgium.

Citrus, grass too much coriander but the right amount of spices here. Poured itself a large head at proper temps. It has the right colour. I probably wouldn’t have it again, but it’s worth a try for anyone at least once.

On tap. Pours a faint, hazy, straw gold with a foamy white head. The aroma is light, with biscuit and some coriander. The flavor has lots of wheat along with more bread and coriander notes over a light-medium body.

Bottle @ Moa, Blenheim. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has winey/grape tones, citrus and coriander. Hazy, pale yellow coloured with a white, lasting head. The taste has wine, lemon, coriander. Very refreshing brew. Enjoyed it a lot.
