COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Breakfast is a blend of premium wheat malt, floral Nelson hops and cherries. A very refreshing and fruity lager specifically designed as a European-style breakfast beer but more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage in New Zealand. Although not always.

Tasting Notes
Moa Breakfast is a wheat beer based lager with a subtle, sweet cherry aroma and taste. Hints of almond, banana and vanilla characters can also be detected. Low bitterness levels and an absence of strong malt characters emphasise these fruit flavours. Moa Breakfast can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a stronger yeast character is desired. Moa Breakfast is best served at approximately 4°C in a pilsner glass.

Appearance: hazy pale golden color, shallow pale white head that fades quickly Aroma: cherry, fruity, refreshing, fresh, piney Taste: cherry initially, very frothy, a hint of spice on the end, not bitter at all, tart Palate: one of the most frothy and creamy beers I've tried, slight cherry aftertaste, good c02 burn to it Overall: this is fruit beer done right, pretty sweet but would probably make a fine session beer in the summer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours a golden, bubblegum, banana, aroma, flavour has some bubblegum, and a fruitiness. it had a light tartiness to it as well and it was a bit ruff around the edges, it was drinkable

Hazy pale golden in color with a generous bubbly/foamy head. Interesting nose of candied wheat, sour cherry candy, and a lime-like acidity. Flavor was a little too lagery and biscuit/toast-ish for my liking, but there was also a nice wheatiness with some tangy-tartness and a little of that sour cherry candy as well, with a touch of almonds and lime zest. Kinda tart and biscuity...quite cheeky.

Pours hazed yellow with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is sweet fruit, pear, apple, cherry. Taste is all of the same.....plus light wheat... Wonderfully crisp, light, and fresh. An outstanding fruit beer.

Poured a golden colour with a faint head. Nose was medium cherry. This beer was to cherries as Unibroue’s Ephemere is to apples- very faint, yet prominent presence of cherry essence without being cloying or over powering.

Light, fruity, crisp. Citrus and cherry along with a slight yeasty wheat flavor. Smooth with a nice finish.

Pours a light orange. Lots of pear and grape fruit flavors. Very light but not effervescent. Sorta coats the tongue. I would think it would go well with pancakes.

Moa Breakfast has a very thick, fluffy, white head, nice, thick lacing on the glass, and a bright, yellow-golden appearance, with champagne-style bubble streams. The aroma and flavor are unusual, but one can smell wheat and strong fruitiness, and the taste is of white wheat bread, underlying cherries, pleasant bitterness, and other things I can’t describe. The alcohol does come into play in the back-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Moa Breakfast finishes crisp, clean, flinty, refreshing, sweet, and delicious. I think this is an outstanding flavored beer! RJT

Bottle from Specs. Pale gold with just a touch of haze and a smallish off-white head. Aroma of apple, cherry, and wheat. Taste is light wheat beer with fruit juice. Light bodied, light fizz. It’s ok, but not really. It’s kind of watery beer with phony tasting fruit characteristics.
