Moa Breakfast is a European style beer brewed with a blend of premium wheat malt and a variety of floral hops. A very refreshing lager with an abundance of cherry character and aromas, Moa Breakfast is more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage here in New Zealand. Although not always.

Tasting Notes
Moa Breakfast is a wheat beer based lager with a subtle, sweet cherry aroma and taste. Hints of almond, banana and vanilla characters can also be detected. Low bitterness levels and an absence of strong malt characters emphasise these fruit flavours. Moa Breakfast can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a stronger yeast character is desired. Moa Breakfast is best served at approximately 4C in a pilsner glass.

Strong citrus aroma, that gave off a secondary aroma of cigarettes. Yeah, like somebody had just smoked. Neon yellow body, foamy white head throughout the ample. Cant remember if I ever had a beer from New Zealand. This was a strange fruit beer, it had a touch of chalkiness to it.

Highly carbonated tang-colored, lush, lacy cover that drapes the glass. Aroma of Flintstone multi-vitamins with a definite citrus influence. Orange wheaty body, again with some vitamin-like chalkyness to it. Artificial cherry and cardboard notes. Tangy bubblegum finish.

375ml corked and wired dark green bottle. Appears hazy bright yellow with a pillowy loose white head. Nose is lemon sherbet with hints of cherry and banana. Taste is sweet sherbet lemon with the cherries coming through at the end. Low bitterness and malt character. Quite light bodied for the ABV which probably suits the style but it still somehow feels artificial. A largely failed experiment in my opinion.

Bottle. What a weird beer. Pours golden with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is huge. You can smell the beer from 2 feet away. Lots of cherry, strawberry, floral hops. Taste isn't very good. Floral hops up front with some Brett like funk, fruit flavor turns into Robitussum. Palate is dry and crisp. Way too ambitious and poorly executed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light and fruity. Sort of reminds me of a mimosa, though maybe that was just suggested by the Breakfast monicker. Not overly sweet.

Draft. Clear yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of straw, grapes, citrus. Taste is berries, licorice candy start, bitter hay finish. Im not a fan of lager fruit combos.

Bottle. Hazy light yellow color with a nice frothy white top. Taste of berries, wheat, banana, medicine, artificial flavors. Fizzy carbonation. Easy to drink brew.

Draft at Churchkey. Clear light gold. Nose holds pure corn starch and red Twizzlers. Flavor might actually be worse, with bits of sweet vanilla working in with the disgusting mareschino sweetness. Really just awful, I dont know how this beer is getting good reviews; this was from a fresh key keg. Maybe just a weird batch or something strange happened in transport? Alas.
