COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Breakfast is a blend of premium wheat malt, floral Nelson hops and cherries. A very refreshing and fruity lager specifically designed as a European-style breakfast beer but more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage in New Zealand. Although not always.

Tasting Notes
Moa Breakfast is a wheat beer based lager with a subtle, sweet cherry aroma and taste. Hints of almond, banana and vanilla characters can also be detected. Low bitterness levels and an absence of strong malt characters emphasise these fruit flavours. Moa Breakfast can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a stronger yeast character is desired. Moa Breakfast is best served at approximately 4°C in a pilsner glass.

375ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear straw yellow with a decent white head, quite high carbonation, which is explained by the lager base beer I guess. Aromas of cherries and almond. Very strong considering no colour has come through from the fruit to the beer (unless they were yellow cherries...? who knows...). Taste has a light sweetness and something like sherbet. Palate gets a bit cloying towards the end, and the finish builds up some astringency. Otherwise quite a nice beer.

Bottle. The first thing that hits me is that this is massively fruity in the smell, with a lot of cherries coming off it (which I happen to detest). Taste is pretty heavily cherry laden as well, with just a hint of nuttiness coming through underneath. Not a fan of this one.

Has a strong fruit aroma that is very sweet with cherries, and a trace of vanilla and banana. It is a straw color with a white head. The head is rather thick. It has a sweet fruity taste that is dominated by cherries and bananas. There is also a strong hint of almond. Overall, if you enjoy fruity things, you will enjoy this. This brews banana power does make for a wicked after taste and not in a good way.

Pours a cloudy yellow color with a banana and grape aroma. Taste is fruity mixed with floral. A slight lasting hops taste on the palate after the swallow. Some mild clove, and fruit throughout the beer.

Bottle. Interesting. Pours a hazy light gold with a high, fine-grained white head. Nose is immensely cherry; I could smell it all the way across the table. There were also vanilla, almond, and toasty notes involved. Nowhere near as sweet as I expected from the nose; dry, round with a nutty, bitter edge. Finish was long, with increased nutty bitterness; drinkable but still substantial. Good.

Bottle @Olutexpo, Helsinki. Poured hazy dark yellow with a white head. Very fruity aroma, pineapple, orange and light spicy notes. Flavor is the same mix of orange and pineapple juice, some light soury notes in the finish. Easy to drink, light bodied.

Aroma is cherries/berries, zesty yeast lemons and tropical fruit. The flavor is lemons, cherries, malts, fruit, spritzy texture and tart/tangy finish.

Serving: Draft. It pours a hazy, light amber color with a small white head. Odd nose that is very fruity. The flavor is sweet with notes of grain and fruit that I can’t quite place. Like some sort of cherry strawberry mix. Light body. While it’s not offensive, it’s not my mug of beer.

Unclear yellowgolden in color with a small whitish head. Bit of hay, some pineapple in aroma. Quite fruity indeed. Taste has got same strong notes of pineapple. Would suite well as a morning juice perhaps, atleast considering the overwhelming notes of pineapple that’s present in this one.’

Bottle@blackdoor. Yellow hazy. Very candi bubblegum fruity nose. Cantalope, watermelon, some, citrus. Pale malts. Dry body, slight bitter. Pale malts. Nice. Super fruity, almost annoyingly pop- like.
