COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Breakfast is a European style beer brewed with a blend of premium wheat malt and a variety of floral hops. A very refreshing lager with an abundance of cherry character and aromas, Moa Breakfast is more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage here in New Zealand. Although not always.

Tasting Notes
Moa Breakfast is a wheat beer based lager with a subtle, sweet cherry aroma and taste. Hints of almond, banana and vanilla characters can also be detected. Low bitterness levels and an absence of strong malt characters emphasise these fruit flavours. Moa Breakfast can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a stronger yeast character is desired. Moa Breakfast is best served at approximately 4įC in a pilsner glass.

>> Thanks DTF for the share. Pours a full haze straw, great foam. Soapy lacing. Nose is intense fruit punch, popsicle, juice box. Taste is very chemical, essentially eating an air freshener refill pouch. Palate is soapy, Iím sure there is a normal beer below all the adjunct chemical, but it is lost. I highly doubt this was the intended flavor.

Pours pale and clear. Small white top, not very thick. Aroma is bubblegum and candy, mixed with some sour cherry lemonade. More sweet candy in that mixture. Taste is actually not as sweet as the aroma hints. There is still some bubblegum and sour cherry lemonade - but also some hop bitterness. It does not feel very balanced though, aftertaste is somewhat rough and feels pretty short. Not really my cup of tea - but I guess there is a place for this kind of beer also. Is it refreshing - for sure.

On tap. Pours a clear, light gold with a foamy white head. The aroma has lots of cherry and some floral, fruity hops. The flavor is more cherry and lots of wheat with a floral hop background over a light body. Very refreshing.

Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has citric hops, some cherries. Light hazy, golden-yellow coloured beer with a thin, white, frothy head. (Not much light where I was, so observation might be flawed) The taste is citric, light cherry, light malty. Soft carbonation. I enjoyed it quite a lot. Great fruit beer.

Bottle - 375mL corked and caged. Hazy gold with a short white head. Skunky hops mixed with banana, tropical fruit, berries and sweet malt notes. Taste is tropical fruit, ripe berries, sweet malt, grains, yeast notes, banana, soft spice and straw notes. Body is light-medium with a dusty feel underneath the moderate, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more tropical fruit, berries, soft banana, grains, malt notes, light bread and soft spice.

Frothy white head perched atop a rosy-red colored body. Clear and highly carbonated.
Sweet, sugary cherry is a bit suspect in the nose. Not going to mistake this for Cantillon Kriek, but neither are you going to mistake it for Quelquechose. Itís very dominant and leaves little else in the mix. Maybe some cotton candy and vanilla?
Yikes. Was not expecting the next best thing from the aroma, but the flavor is much more artificial than I would have imagined. Powdered sugar, cherry koolaid, light green apple and very little else. Tons of carbonation and a reasonable body for it size, but just offensively artificial. Like you took an american wheat and dumped 5 cherry pixie sticks in it. No thanks

Bottle. Hazy golden pour with a big white head. Cherries , banana, bread, almost a fruitier champagne-like aroma. I like the aroma. The taste is disappointing. Very light, one dimensional, slight fruits but short and watery finish.

Aroma: like new plastic and tart raspberries. Appearance: cloudy straw colored wheat beer with a small white head. Flavors: Freeze-dried raspberries and wheat with an alcoholic, dark-Belgian- beer-like finish that lingers. Aftertaste is a little sweet, with raspberry character. Palate: medium carbonic bite. Medium-light mouthfeel I really enjoy this beer because it has a low profile raspberry flavor that is in no way sweet. It is more tart, and maintains a true Belgian beer character. The alcohol is apparent but not overly so. Overall, it is an easy drink and would probably pair well with most food. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle purchased at Nugget in Woodland. The aroma on this is fucked! Itís a cross between mothball and Grey Poupon Mustard. Light underlying peach is also there. What the fuck? Smells like my Great Aunt Ethelís house. Slightly hazed piss yellow body with a small, rapidly dissipating fizzy white head. Starts with a shit ton of spritzy carbonation, which essential hides any and all flavors. Light peach comes through in the middle with some orange rind. Finishes with mineral character, and a mild bitterness. Not sure what the hell this is, but itís really not enjoyable at all. So freaking carbonated.
