3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Extremely musty pear nose, like a damp, dusty, web covered basement. Cloudy orange, enormous sticky yellow head. Slightly smoky, malty bitterness, walnuts. English style, session beer. Not as sweet as some, alcohol subtle.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 28, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a pale opaque orange with a 4-5cm of fluffy white head. Orange and zest aromas predominantly. Flavour is really sweet citrus with a light malt. Thin/medium body with a fair whack of bitterness. Towards the bottom of the glass it had a weird ashtray taste but until then, a solid ESB.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours dull orange with a whopping big, fluffy off white kind of yellow head. Slowly bubbling down. Nose is orange - slight zest, reminiscent of an old fashioned preperation. Very light and sessionable stuff. Loads of orange and lemon zest. Clean, light biscuit. Pretty solid but a touch over carbonated

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: orange citrus and hops.
Appearance: strong dark golden colour with a dark cream head, cloudy.
Taste: tastes of an orangey English bitter, lovely citrus hops, some flavours of cereals too. Medium bitterness.
Palate: strong carbonation but lovely aftertaste, medium mouth feel.
Overall: a great tasting beer, love the orange citrus flavours, tastes a mix between an English bitter and an IPA surprisingly drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From AC Beer Fest. The aroma is caramel, but not sweet. The flavor is more or less the same. Caramel red in color. Finishes a little dry, bitter. Not great.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
375ml corked and wired green bottle. An orange beer beneath a large loose white head. I get honey, oranges, tropical fruits and biscuity malts on the nose and tongue wrapped around a deliciously smooth and balanced palate. Finishes moderately bitter. Medium bodied with perfect carbonation. A lovely drop.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 cL CC Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark straw rusty color with frothy off-white head. Nose is fruity, grainy caramel malty. Tastes very fruity, with an earthy bright caramel malt flavor that seems extremely fresh tasting, and some earthiness in the pretty complex finish.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lacking in Aroma this has the look and the taste of a pretty good beer.
I was dubious that this was a "throw the left-overs together and call it a special beer" but it isn’t.
After a couple of sweeter Belgium beers this is a welcome and pleasing change of pace,
Very nice cage and cork delivery, very nice in the glass, get in!

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy copper with thin tan head and lacing. Nose of toffee, caramel, some herbal aromas, eucalyptus. Sweet malts, herbal tea notes. Not really much hop bitterness and no flavors other than herbal notes. Was looking forward to some delicious New Zealand hops but not much coming through here.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from mane liquor. Deep copper pour with a disappearing white head. Nelson sav straight up on the nose!! Passion fruit and grassy/earthy hops as well. Taste is quite smooth. More floral hops and caramel malt. Well balanced. Doesn't deliver the Nelson sav aromas in the taste though. Nice bitterness. Half ipa/half esb. Pretty cool. Good beer

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Surprise, I had expected an IPA just based on the "5 hop" label. This is much more of an ESB. Medium orange, just the slightest haze, creamy white head lasts forever and leaves a thick lace, probably a product of the bottle conditioning. But really pretty. Aroma is rich caramel, toffee, hint of slightly lemony hops and earthy hops. Flavor is heavily malt accented, caramel and toffee, with a balancing bitterness on the finish with a hint of earthiness. Not bad, although a bit malty for my usual tastes. Wish they had skipped the green bottle.
