3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared with a friend, thanks DuffMan! Hazy amber-copper pour with white head. Aroma is quite leafy, black tea notes, strong belgian character, very toasty, toasted malt, light caramel. Taste is lightly sweet, toasted malt, light leafy peppery hop, slightly faded. Palate is full bodied, rich and malty but with a reasonably dry finish, good carbonation. Decent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle from 16th St.Liquor in West Van. Pours a murky orange gold with vibrant and lasting cream head. Aroma is slightly funky (Belgian?) yeast with piney and orange hop notes as well as a herbal hit and some leather. Taste is a blend of subdued tropical fruit, slightly medicinal herb and bitterness. Finish is hoppy and slightly warming though overall the alcohol is really well masked. One of the better Moa beers I’ve tried.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy dark orangish amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, caramel, pine, spruce, light herbal aromas and some tropical fruits. Taste is caramel, pine, citrus, grapefruit, light booze herbal notes and some tropical fruits. Well balanced with a nice hop bitterness and some alcohol heat but not offensive.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ruby orange in color. Full of fruity hops, caramel malts, and spicy yeast notes. Stays quite bold from start to lasting finish. One of the better Belgian inspired DIPAs I’ve had.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Corked bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color with medium sized head. Nice aroma, oranges, citrusy hops, and a mild spicy note. The mouthfeel is a bit harsh; caramel flavor, a bit dusty; moderately sweet; it has a strange spicy character that doesn’t marry very well with the hops, and the final has a hint of chicory too.
Good but rough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Dan Murphy’s (November 2014). Clear copper colour, fine tan head, bubblegum, toffee, grapefruit/pine hops, preserved oranges, subtle banana, slick, syrupy texture, resinous bitter finish. Nice.

Orange pour with very little head, very little carbonation. Fruity, banana, tropical fruits, piney aromas. A little sweet, grapefruit, pine and toffee - tastes great. Fairly bitter, dry finish..pretty good

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ML bottle
Orange amber color, half finger off white head. Pretty thick head and good retention. Some spotty and strips of lacing.
Nose is bubblegum, candied citrus, and candied pine. Not an overwhelming nose but pretty well balanced nose that is a tad more Belgian as the yeast does stand out more.
Taste is very Belgian. Candied orange, candied tropical fruits, and I want to say candied caramel. Medium bodied, slick and oily in the front, dried candied orange and tropical fruits in the back. Some candied orange peel bitterness to mix into this as well. Does get more bitter as this gets more rolling.
Solid, solid DIPA and a solid Belgian style DIPA. First Moa I like.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Corked and caged 750 ml bottle, wee gusher. Opaque brownish orange, smaller chunks, lasting big tan foam eventually settles. Surprisingly muted mellow malty, fruity hop aroma. Bitter herbal yeasty taste quickly softens, fruity citrus hop, sweet caramel malts, slightly floral, evergreen, some heat, dry. Good balance. Well carbonated, medium-full bodied, more aggressively hopped. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from BWS Milton 101014. Certainly looks the goods with a vibrant amber colour, looks well carbonated. Good mix of hops, malt and fruitiness in the aroma. Finish is bitter and resinous. Not a beer to be rushed.
