COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Methode is bottle fermented and conditioned to give a natural, more consistent carbonation and flavour. Due to the natural brewing process of Methode Moa, a light, beneficial sediment will remain. This sediment protects the beer from premature aging and leaves full, slightly spicy characters on the palate.

Tasting Notes
Moa Methode is a German style pilsner with a high bitterness balanced with a relatively full mouth feel. Citrus hop characters dominate aroma with the presence of fresh bread yeast notes. It can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a strong yeast character is desired. Moa Methode is a complex pilsner best served in a pilsner glass at approximately 6˚C to maximise aromatic release.

average, nowhere near as good as their imperial pilsner. fairly bland and not much better than a typical lager, just has a bit more hop bitterness to improve things a bit.

330 ml bottle. BB 1/3/15. O'Hara's, Tampere, Finland. Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Very nice aroma of citrus, mild tartness, mild hops and some malt. The flavour is grainy malt, dryness, dry hops, moderate bitterness and NZ hops. Dry and a bit vinous. Tasty. A nice surprise. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy, golden yellow color with a large, foam-capped white head. Good bit of yeast sediment floating throughout. Limited lacing along the glass. Grassy hops, herbal notes and yeast in the aroma. Malt sweetness up front with a good amount of hop bitterness in the finish.

sulawang (593) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2014
Visual: Elegantly foil wrapped and corked, very classy. Pours clear golden pale yellow with a nice-sized foamy head, a good layer of retention, sticky lacing, a plethora of activity. Nose: some sweet barley malt, but otherwise not much (lvl-1)-pungency Attack: super crisp, incoming barley + bitter hops Mid-palate: fizzy-airy mouthfeel, (lvl-4)-sweetness, (MAIN) barley malts, yeasty, bready, grassy Finish: subtle soft bitter hops, gentle pronounced bitter hopped finish. Summary: Good body for a pilsener, nice mouthfeel and balanced flavours.

Bottle, 06/21/2014. Golden pour, slight haze, huge rocky head, great retention and lacing. Aroma is fresh hay, floral, mild honey-like sweetness, yeast, grassy character, biscuit malts. Taste is hay, grass, mild fruity yeast character lending sweetness before drying out, mild spicy bitterness and biscuit lingering in the finish. Crisp, light body. Surprised by this one, very nice pils.
