COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Methode is bottle fermented and conditioned to give a natural, more consistent carbonation and flavour. Due to the natural brewing process of Methode Moa, a light, beneficial sediment will remain. This sediment protects the beer from premature aging and leaves full, slightly spicy characters on the palate.

Tasting Notes
Moa Methode is a German style pilsner with a high bitterness balanced with a relatively full mouth feel. Citrus hop characters dominate aroma with the presence of fresh bread yeast notes. It can either be poured carefully off the lees or alternatively with the lees mixed in if a strong yeast character is desired. Moa Methode is a complex pilsner best served in a pilsner glass at approximately 6˚C to maximise aromatic release.

Hello, what’s this? Seen these expensive little 4-packs and passed, but Turd’s review intrigued me, even if he is a shady fucker. Pours hazy light golden with a billowy head of white mousse. Nose shows zesty citrus hops, spicy like so many Kiwi hops seem to be. Grass and the freshest, lightest spruce note. Yeast rolls. Tastes even zingier. Dry palate. Crisp and refreshing, and quite the unique pils.

TET (1684) - FINLAND - OCT 19, 2014
A dark yellow, hazy beer with a big, clouding and blond head. The nose has pure malts, aromatic hops, citrusfruits, some grass and kiwis. Taste has citrusfruits, grapefruits and lemon, also some tropical fruits, some light grain. The bitterness is not very strong, but it’s enough and aromatic. Fruits are dominating. Medium bodied, pleasant and smooth. Surprisingly good beer, enjoyable, smooth and fruitful.

Aroma is yeast and carbonation. Taste is very subtle and sweet malts followed by some tartiness that sticks around but doesnt overwhelming. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a fluffy pearl head that retains well.

Bottle. Hazy golden color and quite thick and lasting head. Aroma has yeast, sweet citrus and caramel. Taste is refreshing and and has nice long bitter finish. Spices, lemon, caramel, herbs and some hops in flavors. Interesting pilsner.

KeefOz (939) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - OCT 5, 2014
Upon pouring, the white foam filled the tall glass to the rim and retained well and laced well. It produced a hazy golden coloured liquid. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma subtly of sour grainy malt with a hint of spice. Taste of spices, a bit like a wit bier, plus some hops bitterness. Light body. Dry, lingering bitterness and a lingering sourness as it warmed. More like a bitter ale than a pilsner. Not for me.

Quite tasty. For me the taste is in between a german hefeweizen and a belgian saison (dupont). Some straw and funk make this interesting and enjoyable.

Really good for a pilsner. Interesting flavours of spices (almost like a Heffeweizen) with some hoppy goodness. Decent!

Bottle. Golden and slightly cloudy. A touch of spice produces a different flavour. The finish is quite sweet and left lots of lacing. Interesting.

Another volcano of head. It acted like it had been in prison too long before I released it. Once it calmed down and learn to control itself i got...some nice lacing. There’s an earthy aroma to it... with a bit of hops as well. The taste is mostly the same, flavours of straw and just a hint of the hops.

Bottle at yespr. Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of caramel and spices. Fruity flavour of caramel, grass and hops. Dry hoppy finish.
