COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Noir is a traditionally brewed European style dark lager with an abundance of distinct aromas and flavours. Chocolate and richly roasted coffee beans dominate the senses with a full flavoured palate, giving Moa Noir a long smooth finish. A perfect beer for the changing of seasons.

Tasting Notes
Moa Noir is a European style dark lager/ Munchner Dunkel. It is a dark brown beer with hues of red and a characteristic strong white foam. Malt dominates with chocolate, coffee and biscuit flavours apparent. Bitterness is low to emphasise malt flavours. Subtle bitterness rounds out the after taste and mouth feel. Hop aroma is minimal. Moa Noir is best served at approximately 6˚C in a pilsner glass.

33 cl bottle @ HBF’13
Aroma is rather nice with cocoa and roasted malt. Flavour has cocoa, roastd malts and coffee. Feels like a schwartzbier that feels like a stout. And it seems that this is actually a dunkel...

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this beer. This is my first beer from the great country of New Zealand. The beer pours an orange-brown color with a white head. The aroma is pretty basic with toffee malt. The flavor is more of the same, lots of toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad, but nothing specials.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Dark chestnut brown pour with a spongy off-white head. Slightly sweet aroma with some nutty accents and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is solid with some nutty accents, very mild chocolate, brief mention of dates. Mouthfeel is on par for a lager. Nothing jumps out at you - but a decent drinking lager.

This American Dark Lager pours a deep brown color from a 33cl. bottle. Medium to large sized beige foamy head. Good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is dark malt, caramel and slightly sweet. Medium bodied dark beer. The malts are slightly roasty, touch of chocolate and dark fruit. The hops are earthy and slightly spicy. This beer reminds me a little of some of the dark beers I drank way back in the old days. A little darker malts, slightly more flavor and body than the lighter stuff. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Nothing really outstanding here, but it is a very nice drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Brown, fairly clear, and a thin head. . Aroma is cole and bread. Flavor is mostly cola, again, with some earthy, piney notes in the finish.

Bottle, from store in Hanoi. Murky deep brown, opaque with scant head. Yeasty aroma is candy sugar, Belgian-influenced, dark sugars, chocolate-covered berries, cake. Easy palate is prickly at first but not high carbonation. Finish is abrupt. Thin, minerally, and dry. Flavors are not as complex as the aromas let on, it’s not a sophisticated brew but it is nice, has dry cocoa flavors.

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku and Antti! Dark brown color. Aromas of cocoa, roasted nuts and licorice. Very nutty taste with cocoa, licorice and old coffee. Medium body. OK softly roasty beer.
