COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Noir is a traditionally brewed European style dark lager with an abundance of distinct aromas and flavours. Chocolate and richly roasted coffee beans dominate the senses with a full flavoured palate, giving Moa Noir a long smooth finish. A perfect beer for the changing of seasons.

Tasting Notes
Moa Noir is a European style dark lager / Munchner Dunkel. It is a dark brown beer with hues of red and a characteristic strong white foam. Malt dominates with chocolate, coffee and biscuit flavours apparent. Bitterness is low to emphasise malt flavours. Subtle bitterness rounds out the after taste and mouth feel. Hop aroma is minimal. Moa Noir is best served at approximately 6˚C in a pilsner glass.

330 ml bottle @ HBF2013. Pours a murky brown colour with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, sour berries and chocolate. Flavour of sweet malts, cardboard, berries and grass. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and sour fruity finish. Weird.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, fully lasting. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (cocoa, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Simple and dull aroma, equally bland in the mouth. Looks nice, but otherwise a snoozer.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Dark chestnut brown pour with a spongy off-white head. Slightly sweet aroma with some nutty accents and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is solid with some nutty accents, very mild chocolate, brief mention of dates. Mouthfeel is on par for a lager. Nothing jumps out at you - but a decent drinking lager.

Dark murky brown with a little bit of a ruby highlight, under a foamy light khaki head. Aroma had a stronger note of biscuit than I expected, but also had a light touch of cold toddie coffee with a light chocolaty graininess. Flavor was nicely subtle but still nuanced and well rounded. Smooth dark earthy toffee mixed with some biscuity yeastiness and some toast, with just a hint of earthy grainy chocolate sweetness. Overall kinda drier than I hoped, but this is a nice lager experience.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this beer. This is my first beer from the great country of New Zealand. The beer pours an orange-brown color with a white head. The aroma is pretty basic with toffee malt. The flavor is more of the same, lots of toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad, but nothing specials.

Brown, fairly clear, and a thin head. . Aroma is cole and bread. Flavor is mostly cola, again, with some earthy, piney notes in the finish.

(12.7oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) clear orange-brown with lasting bubbles. Nose of sweet dark brown sugar, caramel and dark fruit. Taste of brown sugar, some fruits, with a creamy but watery body.
