COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Noir is a traditionally brewed European style dark lager with an abundance of distinct aromas and flavours. Chocolate and richly roasted coffee beans dominate the senses with a full flavoured palate, giving Moa Noir a long smooth finish. A perfect beer for the changing of seasons.

Tasting Notes
Moa Noir is a European style dark lager / Munchner Dunkel. It is a dark brown beer with hues of red and a characteristic strong white foam. Malt dominates with chocolate, coffee and biscuit flavours apparent. Bitterness is low to emphasise malt flavours. Subtle bitterness rounds out the after taste and mouth feel. Hop aroma is minimal. Moa Noir is best served at approximately 6˚C in a pilsner glass.

Bottle - pours black with a tight at head. Roast mlt, cereal and a slight funk. Rost malt bitterness and a lingering dry finish. Lively carbonation, bit too much.

Bottle picked up at Party Source from notes. Pours brown with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, chocolate, watery coffee, mild earth, thin, just ok and not something that I would do again.

750ml bottle found in rural Alberta, no it ain’t retired as far as I can tell, though maybe this is on the way out and remaining stocks will just be depleted. Pours with modest slightly creamy head and swampy brown body that bodes plenty of carbonation. Soft hay and malt aroma, barn funk and hazelnut kinda. Flavour is an earthy nut with hints of malty caramel and said barn funk. Like sucking on a plank of wood from the barn that the cows had lived in. Medium finish, could use a little more presence on the mouth. Hefty and I like the earthy tones. Too bad it’s having a retirement party.

Very heavily carbonated with a very heavy white frothy head. Body is dark brown and opaque. Aroma is sweet with a nutty sweet (hints of anaise). Taste is sweet but rather plain. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at catch 22 bottle share! Pours a deep brownish black with bubbly white head. Aroma and taste of oxidized malt and stale fruit, past its prime for sure.

750ml corked bottle pours a dark brown color with a 2 finger beige head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild chocolate with some grass and grains. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a light chocolate malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Average at best for the style. Definitely, not one of my favorites.

Poured a deep coppery brown colour with a big (four-finger plus) light tan foamy head that retained well and laced poorly. Carbonation moderate and fine. Aroma of sweet caramel, roasted grain and a hint of roasted coffee. Taste of roasted grains dominate plus sweet dark fruits. Light to medium body. Dry with a lingering roasted bitterness on the finish. More complex than a dark lager.
