Moa Pale Ale is a New Zealand take on a popular North American beer style. Using famous Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops, the dominant features in this beer are unique to New Zealand and the Moa bottle conditioned brewing method. Its hoppy strength displays powerful floral, citrus and tropical notes, and like its northern cousins is a beer best enjoyed just below room temperature.

Tasting Notes
While the intensity of the typical Nelson hop bitterness is well presented in Moa Pale Ale, there are also luscious sweet malts and bright passion fruit flavours. Offering a heightened complexity, this exceptional beer displays flinty and mineralistic characters. Moa Pale Ale is best served at approximately 6˚C in a tulip glass.

Bottle - pours hazy golden orange with a frothy white head. Lot of fruit on the aroma, caramel malt and hop resin. Some fruit on the taste, even bitterness, taste doesn’t fulfil the promise of the aroma.

Bottle at home from Cellar Balckrock. Subtle aroma peach, citrus, tangerine. Lots of peach, citrus and tangerine flavour. Its quite highly carbonated and light bodied but has plenty of flavour. Nice fruity carbonated punch on finish. This is nice.

Poured from bottle to glass. Golden hue with thick creamy white head that lingered. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, orange, rosemary, grassy. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness initially with nice bitter following and clean finish. Overall this is a decent brew.

Bottle. Massive head that took a long time to dissipate.Yellow and slightly cloudy. Hoppy at first then a bitter finish creeps in. That head which had to be ploughed through spoilt this one. Apart from that it was fairly average.

Pours a cloudy amber with a head that took some time to get under control. Left some lacing but not much. This beer is a citrus bomb, almost like citrus skins. There is some biscuitiness hidden in there. If you like citrus then this will be for you, but if you like a pale ale with a hop balance then maybe not.

Hazy golden honey pour with a small eggshell crown. This one is all about thick, sweet, earthy, and tropical fruit. A bit cloying compared to the style. Meh.
