2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Earthy golden/tan, very cloudy with a fair head.. Aroma is that of a typical tripel, but faint, with some citrus. Taste is crisp and citrusy, with some bitterness... a little tart on the aftertaste. Not a favorite, but not bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours hazy straw yellow with a medium-sized white head. The aroma features citrusy fruitiness with some apple and pear, yeasty spiciness and pale maltiness; a Belgian outlook definitely. Taste is medium sweet and lightly sour, comprising mostly from malts and yeast; hop bitterness is low but some hoppy flavours appear. Flavours of orange, lemon, pear, grain and herbs. Malty, spicy and fruity - quite rich taste all in all but perhaps more bitterness and crispness would have added depth and some edge to the taste. The palate is medium to full bodied, smooth and low in carbonation. A good tripel from New Zealand.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I really like this beer! but let me start by admitting that I’m a huge fan of belgian yeasts, and Quad beers are my favourite, so this ticks alot of boxes for me but still it will need alot more work to be compared to chimay grand reserve, or the great la trappe quadrupel, but its an excellent start!!
Colour is pale gold, belgian yeast aromas produce tropical esters, alot of toffee flavours, texture is excellent due to the ABV, but the alcohol is prominent, and it needs to be balanced with some bitterness, over all , an excellent new world beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a slightly hazy amber from a bottle, quickly dissipating white head. Slightly skunky aroma, otherwise rather fruity smelling. Big tropical fruit flavor, surprisingly but nicely hoppy Belgian tripel. Good beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deep, murky gold with a thin head around the edge. Delicious banana, caramel, clove, cinnamon, pepper and brown sugar aromas. Similar flavours with a large presence of alcohol, perhaps appropriate to style but not entirely integrated into the flavour of the beer, leaving it a little harsh. Rich, thick mouthfeel.
