3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium gold, with a small white head, which lasts fairly well but does not leave much lacing. Spicy Belgian yeast, fruit characteristics and a touch of smoke make up the aroma. Mild citrus and spice hops up front give way to light pear notes and a little caramel in the mid-palate. Belgian yeast spiciness comes into the finish. This is a quite nice and very reasonably priced tripel.

On tap @ Moa, Blenheim. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is citric, light dusty yeasty, bit spicy. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a white, rocky head. The taste is sweet, citric, spicy, has orange peel, bit dusty yeast tones. Finish more bitter and dry. Light carbonation. Great triple.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drank a couple gulps at work from a coworker who brought it in. I like Belgians and this is a damn fine example of one. A couple of guys who aren't fans said this is one they'd go for.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle@ahven. Orange hazy. Belgian spicy, citric pale malty. Tripel definitely. Soft body, no carbonation (by design, I’m told). Spicy yeast, orange zest. Pretty good for an uncarbonated strong one. Surprisingly unboozy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
375 ml bottle. Pours a hazy light gold color with moderate head. Aromas of toast, very light citrus, and a hint of banana/yeast. Somewhat buttery flavor for a Triple. Rich and smooth. Definite fruit esters with doughy notes. Interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Spice and tart candied sugar aroma. Hazy orange. Plenty of bittersweetness, tart finish. Not subtle in strength revelation, which is not a knock in this case. Medium to heavy, somewhat cloying. Profound and unique tripel.
