COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa St Josephs is brewed in the traditional style of a classic Belgian Tripel. Strong spice and clove characters create complex flavours and aromas which are heightened by its extended bottle conditioning, with a combination of malt and candy sugars complimenting the high alcohol content produced by the Belgian ale yeast. Best served at 8°C in a goblet after gently rolling the bottle to distribute the sediment signature.

Tasting Notes
Moa St Josephs is a true abbey style tripel with strong clove and spice flavours apparent with a noticeable fruit ester profile. Smokey phenolic characters can be detected. The bitterness is designed to be complimentary rather than dominant. Moa St Josephs is a complex beer that has no added herbs or spices, and is best served at approximately 8˚C in a tulip glass.

Well presented, Belgian style triple with a kiwi twist. Sweet aromas on the nose once opened. Drunk in a tulip glass, full head. Well balanced, high abv percentage masked very well ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

great stuff. they’ve nailed it here. like a more vivid, bigger version of duvel. beautiful yeasty aroma - lots of pepper, dough, zesty hops, alcohol, cloves, pear - just really big belgian aroma that comes from treating your yeast really well. firm concentrated pilsener malt flavour then a super dry and complex, peppery, yeasty finish with supporting bitterness and alcohol heat (in a good way). best tripel i’ve had made outside belgium. worth all the $ they charge for sure.

Purchased at "Jungle Jim’s International Market" in Fairfield, Ohio - Alright, this one poured out a hazey yellow brew with a rapidly diminishing white head of foam and noticeable lacing on my glass. The aroma of this one is rich with a mown grass note, and the alcohol is noticeable. Tastewise, this is a rich, full bodied Belgian Tripel brew, although I thought it leaned heavily towards a French Farmhouse ale in its flavor.

Bottle from Lygon shop. Great malt-and-yeast character. Aromas of cherries, bread, coriander, and caramel. Taste is sweet, with sour notes, and very long length. Palate is silky, highly carbonated, and medium bodied. Orange, with a frothy head.

Like the boxer on the box there is a thickness to this beer. Its brings you in as you search its cloudy deep glowing golden appearance. Keeping you there as you search for the aroma you would think would accompany this beer. A nice solid jab of Belgian yeast flavors, combined with a full mouth feel and a light zip burn across your tongue. KO .

Corked bottle and served in my Big O’ Tripel Karmeliet tulip: Golden hued with a HUGE fluffy head which left excellent sticky lace upon the glass. The aroma has those classic Tripel esters of Belgian Yeast, Belgian Candi Sugar, moderate or heavy alcohol vapours, grains of paradise, clove, cardamom along with a noble and classic grassy hop character. The taste starts slightly sweet and bubble gummy with some honey overtones before the grassy and herbal noble like hops come about. Plenty of over ripened peach and apricot tones as well. Finishes off with a spice forward character. The mouth feel is aggressive and warming, slightly sticky. Well once you get past the initial pungent hops, this is true Tripel and very true to the style. I do not know what some of these folks had in the past but this is a shockingly good Tripel and ultimately scary good. If you are the rare ratebeerian into this style, then you must seek out a bottle of this, you will be glad when you do find one.

Ponied up the $$$ after reading eczematic’s rave and I’m in complete ’agreeance’ - this is great stuff. Really authentic-tasting. It certainly looks the part - great colour and excellent head. Fairly hoppy aroma with peaches and tropical fruit like a big Saison Dupont (as opposed to the funkiness of Moinette). Clear, bright, glassy pils malt flavour with more Dupont-style esters, and a little clean booziness, finishing perhaps just a tiny touch sugary. It’s hard to criticise a beer you rate 4.1 but with a bit more hoppiness in the finish this would really kick arse.
