Draft @ Cortez beer fest. Dark brown with thin tan head. Aroma is surprisingly hopped, even has some herbal pine highlights over the chocolate malt. The flavors are similar, finishing with lingering bitter, roasty taste. High drinkability level.

Draught. Dark brown. The aroma is quite rich, chocolatey with light oatiness. Full-bodied. Lots of hop bitterness, chocolate and oatmeal sweetness. Great balance. Quality stout.

Black coloured beer wiht a very short off white head and medium carbonation. Creamy roasted and caramelized coffee malty aroma. Full creamy palate; Finish is roasted, light creamy bitter touched. Nice stout but misses some creamyness.

Draft at the brewpub. Black with a small ring of foam. Nose is berries, chocolate and coffee. Taste is cocoa, light char and green herb. Medium body is watery, roasty dryish with a nice balance, but needed a tad more carbonation.

West USA trip 2010. On tap @ the brewpub. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee. Black coloured beer with a beige head. The taste is lightly bitter, bit sweet, has roast and coffee. The beer is a bit watery.

Dark brown color,small tan head that had a short life .The aroma was roasty malt with a nice hint of hops and maybe a little grapefruit,chocolate and coffee. Taste is chocolate and maybe smokey malts.

On tap at the brewery on 7/13/09. Pours nice dark brown with good bubbly head. Nice coffee aroma and touch of sweetness up front. Very nice dry finish. Good example of an oatmeal stout and one of my favorite Moab brews.
