Dead Horse Ale is named after the scenic overlook near Arches National Park. A traditional English mild ale with a well-balanced malt to hop ratio. The perfect beverage to compliment all foods. "You Can’t Beat A Dead Horse"

Nothing special. Aroma is very mild, notes of bready malt. Malt come through in taste, with hop finish.

Poured into shaker pint from 16oz can. Aroma is bready, crackery, no hop aroma noticeable. Taste follows, biscuity, malty, bready. Balanced with a clean bitterness.

"Meh. Caramel malt, biscuit malt, and some faintly fruity and bitter hops in equal amounts. Nothing about this one stands out...not even quite to average for the style."

Pint can. Nose is heavy dough with dull caramel and dank earth and spice, very promising intensity for a 4-0 beer. Pours transparent copper with slightly above-average carbonation, a rocky and clingy beige head. Watery light body very soft with some extra doughy umph, flavors as mentioned above with a vein of very mild citrus in the middle, medium sweetness with light and somewhat rubbery bitterness, slight hints of nuts at volume and suggestions of complexity despite most metrics marking this malt character as boring or undercut. Little bit of an acrid tang I find unwelcome here, but high drinkability, would gladly have another.

Can from Brewforia. Pours dark hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is just malty. Med minus body. Flavor is malty with perhaps some citrus. It’s not really very tasty. Yet it does have more flavor than a macro lager! Even gets some bitter in the finish. Not much tho.

tap at the brewpub - Pours clear light orange and has a light, malty aroma. It’s smooth, sweet, and mild with a light to medium body. Okay beer.

amber gold puffy white head, moderate lacing. Nose is apple and allspice, light cardboard oxidation. Tea and oxidation flavor up front, thin profile, watery. Meh overall.
