Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Sour citrus and sweet biscuit aromas. Thick sweet caramel upfront yet with very low carbonation turning to sour bitter citrus before a lasting resin finish.

bottle... Mike almost won the bad beer tasting with this gem... alcoholic nail polish might be too generous, pass on this mess
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 johnnnniee (1001) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 24, 2011
22oz bottle
Pours a deep copper color with a beige head that quickly dissipates to a cap a leaves minimal lacing. Smells faintly of citrus hops, dark dried fruit, brown sugar and a hint of alcohol and caramel. Taste is a bit harsh with ethanol, sugary dark fruit dipped in grapefruit juice. Medium body and carbonation level with a sweet sticky mouthfeel. Another expensive bomber from Moat Mountain that didn’t wow me. Decent beer, but kind of boring, one and done here.
