Pours a hazy golden color with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma of citrus and spices with unpleasant yeast. Flavor of spices, citrus, yeast and strong, unpleasant astringency in the end. The body is light with a powdery texture and gentle carbonation.

En fût. Pinte dégustée à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur d’épices avec une pointe d’orange. Apparence: La couleur est orangée voilée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’épices avec une pointe d’orange. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. My Bottom Line:
Orangey fruitiness and overbearing yeastiness lead to a leafy, vegetal finish which bothers the tongue. This Belgian-style Ale is a tad too chaotic to be called successful, in my book.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the cloudy beige blond.
-The spiciness could have been more pleasant if it weren’t for the prevalent doughy yeastiness.
-The rough and astringent finish might be due to some problems with the maple syrup in the kettle, according to brewer Will. This also tasted quite young and underdeveloped., according to me.
-The fruity spiciness and important yeastiness take it much closer to the Witbier category than the usual Belgian Single, in my experience.
