Formerly known as Moat Mountain Bear Peak Brown.

An English-style brown ale. This beer has a biscuit-like smoothness with a rich, malt body and medium hop bitterness.

Draft at VT Brewers Fest - This was perhaps the least impressive beer at the festival ... not sure why they brought it. Thiin boddy and too light for a brown. Some nuttiness and slightly bitter finish. Did not try for seconds.

Sample at the Vermont Brewers’ Fest. Medium clear maple, minimal cardboardy nose, little nuttiness. Clean, fairly dry body; some assertive metallic quality near the end which hurts. Not good.

Nutty malt aroma. Sweet notes of marzipan. Clear amber-brown with thin off-white head that recedes to cover. Sweet and nutty with mild citrus hop flavour and bitterness towards the finish. Somewhat still with medium-light body. On tap at Vermont Brewers Festival.

A sweet almond skin nose gives way to a bit of citrus hop juice...Apples recently dropped into wet earth...The flat appearance and very faint aroma take away from the potentially enjoyable pint of brown ale...

nice deep red coloring. medium body. the sweetness and hops seemed well balanced.

Sweet maltyness, with a decent hop ending. A good example of a brown ale.
