3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Glouglouburp (4784) - Montreal, - SEP 8, 2009
In short: A soft but nice bohemian style pilsner. Lacks Clean light session beer.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The moderately hoppy nose doesn’t appear pure Saaz to me. Saaz and other noble hops. Pleasant smooth cereals with a fresh juicy sensation. A touch of honey and light fruity notes. Finish is grassy, a little dry, a little bitter. The flavour elements are there but the beer is just a bit restrained, subtle even. Very clean, too clean. Good potential if they crank it up. I like the style so I enjoyed it but unfortunately this beer is as intense as a retirement home checkers game between two dozing elderly needing a diaper change.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lukaduke (128) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Grabbed a growler of this from the brewpub after hitting the 7 beer sampler with my lunch. a 83˚ March afternoon helped this beer stand out from the group. Crisp clean pour with nice bottom rising bubble even on day two out of the growler. A good amount of hop bitterness rounded out with nice malty flavors put this beer right up there with locally brewed pilsners in New England. Nothing to out of this world but a pleasant drinker for sure.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Indra (2361) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Draft at the brewpub. Fairly slight aroma (even after letting it warm a bit), just a quick dose of grassy, herbal hop and faintly sweet malt. Clear medium golden color, head is extremely slight. Flavor profile is similarly mellow, with grassy hop flavor, lightly honeyish, crackery, sweetish malts and a very light bitterness appearing at the finish. Very fine effervescence on the palate, a tad watery, body is light-medium. Rather easy-going rendering of the style.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 stangger (518) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Spicy saaz aroma, very strong. Very sharp noble hop taste, light pils malt. Earthy. Over hopped a bit, perhaps. Overpowering aftertaste of saaz. Crisp.

Included as part of a sampler. I find Moat offerings to be just average but I seem to keep coming back for more. Another visit, another sampler. Still so so but fresh beer is always good so I’m sure I’ll be back again.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 AirForceHops (1118) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 28, 2010
Golden blonde body topped by a small white head The moderately hoppy Saaz and some other hops. It kind of tastes like an old stale basement. Not funky or moldy just musty air. Finish is grassy, a little dry, slightly bitter. In general I don’t think most Pilsners have much to offer. It would be a good session beer for someone who likes Pilsner.

Pours a slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Bread and saaz aromas. Crisp with upfront sweet honey and caramel turning to a slightly sour roasted saaz finish.

Tap at the Barley Pub. Golden pour with a thing offwhite head. Aroma is nice, some Saaz hop presence and some light pilsner malt. Flavor is a little more dull. just not very exciting in a style that can be crisp and very pleasantly hopped. A touch of honey and some muddled hop. Not bad, but Ive had better
