Decent enough wheat, although server gave this to me instead of the tripel I ordered. Not much carbonation, but good banana and creamy mouthfeel.

Grabbed a growler of this after lunch and a 7 beer sampler... Not a bad beer, good hints of clove, bubblegum, banana and a full round wheaty mouthfeel... however I feel this batch that Im drinking lacks a bit of bubble. Not just because it was poured in a growler I also noticed the lack of carbonation at the brewery... add a little more bubble and the flavors would have popped a bit more !

On draught at When Pigs Fly in Kittery, ME. Arrived to the table a cloudy antique gold with a very thin white head that made it through the first sip and left no lace. The aroma is wheat with just a bit of banana. The flavor is wheat with orange and lemon. Mild bitterness at the finish. Nice refreshing beer.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2011 I don’t know what I like more the food at Moat or this brew! Traditional nose of banana, bubblegum and wheat. Light, smooth, clean and refreshing. I ordered more than one, because it was just that good! Could be a excellent beer for summer and to go along with any meal.

Included as part of a sampler. I find Moat offerings to be just average but I seem to keep coming back for more. Another visit, another sampler. Still so so but fresh beer is always good so I’m sure I’ll be back again.
