Amber coloured brew. Nice sweet citrus hop aroma with loads of piny flavour sitting under sweet orange. Medium crystal malt. Clean citrus hop flavour, mostly Cascades with some light resiny bitterness over some pale malts. Not a ground-breaking pale ale, but it clean and refreshing.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2009 Resinous bitter C-hops in firm earthiness...Admirable, lingering, bitter aftertaste of citrus which ends in dryness...Lightly toasted malts provide sustenance, but otherwise this hoppy quaffer is by-the-book American IPA...
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Leighton (6903) - London, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2013
Can at home in Salisbury. Pours clear gold with a sturdy, off-white foam head. Some orangey citrus in the aroma, a bit of lightly toasted, bready malts. Light sweet flavor, some metallic bite, vaguely doughy malts, orange, dry pine needles. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish, some lightly earthy grass, bread. It’s alright overall, though not especially cohesive.

A: The beer pours a clear amber color with a thin layer of white head to go on top.
S: Some piney hops start things off along with a fair amount of floral notes to the beer. Lots of lemon going on, especially the rind. It’s got a bit of a lemon oil thing going on, too. Bready malts and candied orange peel are also there.
T: Surprisingly bitter, which dominates and sort of ruins the flavor. More of that lemon peel character along with the pine. The malt is definitely pushed into the background on this beer.
M: Medium in both body and carbonation.
O: Smelled pretty decent, but the flavor was just far too bitter. Not enough hop (or malt) flavors to this beer.
