MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 20, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed cereals and personable earthy hoppiness provide a balanced and nicely rounded pint of Bock.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the translucent bronze.
-There is not much sign of its strength; this is easy drinking.
-The malt signature is not very authentic, making this an obvious North American version of the style.
-The finishing hop bitterness is decent.
-A bit of caramel comes from the cereals.
On tap at the brewpub.
beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 23, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. Interesting aroma of fruits with toasted malt. Flavor of fruits, hops, toasted malt with a weird burned feeling. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Taktik_MTL (1843), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada May 22, 2008 En fût.
