4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 puboflyons (1190) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 25, 2012
From the can it pours brown with ruby red highlights and a moderate, short-lasting head. The aroma is vibrant with rich malts, yeast, nuttiness, and maybe even a little cinnamon or hazelnut. The body is about medium. This has a marvelous taste of malts and yeast with the hops played down. Not overly bitter and not astringent in anyway. This is a prime brown ale.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at GBBF. A dark brown mix of chlorine and antiseptic. Must be out of order, I’m sure they couldn’t let it go like this.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep murky reddish brown colour, not much head. ARoma is sour wood, some grains, quite acidic and mild vinegary. Flavour is quite much the same, dominated by acidic wooden notes. Most likely gone, to be re-rated once I get my hands on it again.
