Bottle from Case N Keg in New Hampshire. The label just says "Blueberry ale" but it must be this one - how many blueberry beers can Moat Mountain produce ? Light fruity aroma, but the "natural" flavor in the description is always a bad sign. Artificial, slightly metallic tasting blueberry on an indisinguishable malt base. Very watery. Shared with 3 people, thank goodness. Never would have gotten through a bomber.

on draft, light fake tasting fruit flavors on a light simple wheat ale without anything goingon, very light and innocent

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a cloudy, golden color with a tinge of blue. There is a small off white head that lingers a bit and leaves some lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Hint of blueberry and some faint earthy hops. Malts, but no real sweetness. The taste is pretty good. Malts with some wheat, earthy notes and very subtle blueberry. A nice summer brew.

At the brewpub. Hazy gold, strong blueberry aroma but less on the palate... Great idea, maybe a little adjusting to achieve better balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy medium gold. Natural blueberry aroma overlies clean malts. Lightly spicy, blueberry fruit flavour in equal portion to a pale malt base. Decent enough if you like blueberries and uncomplicated beers.

Pours a hazy light golden color with a decent sized white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Light bready malt base with faint blueberry and light earthy hops. The flavor is like a light lager with a faint blueberry twang to it. Light bready pilsner malt with a hint of spice and some blueberry syrup buried deep underneath. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet watery mouthfeel. Bland, unexciting but technically nothing flawed here. The blueberry is too faint and the beer too uninspiring. Why on earth this 22oz bottle of 4.5% abv beer retails for north of 9 dollars boggles my mind.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub in North Conway, NH. The pour is a hazy straw-yellow with a thin head. The aroma is less about blueberry and more about butter. The body was medium. The blueberry is far more noticeable in the flavor than in the aroma but it left a kind of slick, buttery aftertaste, a slight hop bite and lingering astringency.

Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Hazy straw color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Light blueberry nose and flavor is light tart blueberry, balanced bitterness. A little watery, could use more blueberry. $8.99 for a 22oz bottle from Glen Beverage Glen, NH. Label is just Blueberry Ale.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2012 Pours pale gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Blueberry and malt aromas. Thin with sweet blueberry muffin upfront turning to biscuit in the medium length finish.

Bomber, labeled "Blueberry": Pours a cloudy light orange with a thin white head, aroma has blueberries, starts and ends lightly sweet with a tart blueberry ending, thin bodied with light carbonation.
