Ok decided to treat the wife to a Mexican meal so off we went..got this in the 12 oz weird shaped clear bottle. Poured into a glass..sans lime its a pale golden colour with what can only be described as a hint of light peach colour..small white head..large amounts of carbonation. Very subdued aroma..none to speak of really maybe some faint malts..but at least it dont stink like its stablemate Corona. Taste is very 'spritzy" due to the high carbonation..some sweet malts break through and theres a touch of hops at the end. Very thin on the palate..too carbonated. This really is not a good beer but it actually went quite well with my meal.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2004 Love the bottle. Had it served with a lime. A good, deep color for a lager. Has enough hops flavor to be unique.

Rapidly diminishing white head on a dark gold body. Aroma is lightly malt. Taste is somewhat sweet and shows light hopps and noticable corn in my opinion. Lively carbonation, fairly clean beer. Just not alot here

Aroma was skunky to mild. Appearance was golden and clean. Flavor was crisp and clean, great for hot summer weather. Flavor is mild and clean and refreshing to the palate. I don't understand why so many beer raters don't rate this one much higher? 7.9? At least 25? A good German/Mexican Pilsener that isn't too bland like so many other German/Mexican beers.

Plain, watery, dull, bitter taste and gets worse half way through the bottle.

Cuerpo medio, levemente pegajoso. After doing the above rating, this got worse with each sip, until it was truly disgusting.

Embotellado muerto. El color dorado. La aroma ligera de la malta. Mouthfeel suave con algunas burbujas agudas. La mierda usual de pastuerised. El sabor barato de la malta. Las hojas una espiga desagradable. El cartón mojado en el fin. Suficiente aceptable lavar hacia abajo un cari.

Pale yellow pour with a sort of skunky smell, kind of like Corona. Didn't put a lime in it, but I should have. But it's still no Corona. Not the best Mexican beer I've had.

Just opened it and the room already smells skunky. I am afraid to put my nose closer to the beer. Smells like a mexican beer and looks like one. Lord at least it tastes better than it smells and that isn't saying much at all. This beer shouldn't even be sold. It scares me actually. It has a tangy taste, probably from the ripe Mexican water used to make the stuff. This is probably on the bottom of my Mexican beer list but not the worst thing I have ever had. I would have to agree that a lime would really help, and I would rather not have fruit with my beer thank you. I have a feeling this is a drain pour and I will have to cleanse my palate with a High Life.

Reminded me of Corona in appearance. My bottle tasted oddly like a German beer - it had that slightly bitter bite that most German beers have - maybe I'm just nuts, though. Anyway, it wasn't bad, I probably would have enjoyed it a little more with a lime in it.
