ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jan 4, 2009 12 oz. bottle for $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, delightfully golden body with a foamy, white head.
Smell: Lightly skunked nose with notes of grain husks and cooked corn.
Taste: Husky grains and maize with a light cereal sweetness. Tiny, tiny bit of sourness. Light hop bitterness is sufficient enough to give this beer a dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied, but thankfully lacks the wateriness of its brethren. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: No outright hideous, but, if you find yourself in a Mexican restaurant and need a beer, I’d sooner reach for a Negra Modelo. HonkeyBra (1258), Lemont, Illinois, USA Dec 16, 2008 Pours a pee color with some head. Very Fizzy. Aroma is bready and sweet. Flavor is like grass bread, soap, and water. Im guessing this beer survives based on its being not as terrible as corona. Overall, boring, kind of terrible. gerzm22 (107), , Florida, USA Dec 14, 2008 A pretty good beer it is a little over priced for what you get but it is a great beer for chilling out with a few friends. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 9, 2008 Can - 355ml. Limpid golden body with good carbonation and a thick, diminishing white foamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with bready notes. Taste, however, is absolutely watery and carries some bad metallic and chemical hints. Finish is non-existent. Typical Latin American Lager. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Dec 9, 2008 Bottle 33cl. at home. Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and some sour notes with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [150908] cheeta (858), Langå, Denmark Dec 3, 2008 Moderate malty aroma. Small frothy, off-white head. Mostly deminishing longevity. Light yellow body. Moderate bitter flavor. Light to medium palate. Watery texture. Skyview (4001), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 30, 2008 Sampled during Swig-a-Swill Guzzler in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a thin white head that quickly disappears clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, corn, some Ivory soap and grassy hops. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, corn and grassy hops. Finish is about as watery as a glass freshly filled from my Culligan dispenser. Typical macro light beer for those 110° F summer days. Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Nov 29, 2008 Pours gold with a white head. Smells of caramel, some stray hops, a touch of sweetness. Tastes sweet and light with a dry finish. Goes well with Mexican food. Inoffensive.
