tylerss20 (101), New Hampshire, USA May 9, 2008 I got a bomber of this at tapwerks in OKC last fall. It was the special. Everything was very average, so that is how I rated. Not half the beer Negra modelo is. MtStateBeer (74), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA May 7, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head, fair lacing. Aroma initially was skunk (thought I had a bad beer) but got better, smells like grain, with a bit a doughy yeast aroma. Light body with an initial sweet aroma, a bit salty, finished somewhat acidic/metallic. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA May 5, 2008 12oz, bottle, extremely boring, easy to slam, smells like macro, tastes like macro.. really boring. ratman197 (3135), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 5, 2008 Clear bottle poured a clear gold with a small disapating white head. Aromas of straw, graininess, light citrus and a hint of skunk. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of light straw, light graininess and hint of citrus with a crisp clean finish. Bhops (329), Dallas, Texas, USA May 3, 2008 wow, this is really a terrible beer. I expected slightly better, consider the negra modelo is okay for a mexican beer. Pours flat, mild malt aroma with some skunkiness, malt is even less apparent in the taste. bassbuckeye (81), Ohio, USA May 2, 2008 No head skunk smell. Now I see why you put a lime in this.... I will drink this though ice cold with fruit in it while mowing the lawn... rizk (36), central florida, USA May 2, 2008 light malt and hoopy aroma. head is 1 finger if it lasts that long. no alcohol taste. watery texture, watery after taste. pours yellow on the darker side. very light beer. jfenglish (198), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 27, 2008 Bottle- Tom & Patty’s. Suprised that this was pretty good. Was expecting funky / skunky, but actually the aroma was pleasant and the flavor was actually full-bodied. Not overly complex, but did have nice malt up-front and some slight bitterness at the end. Won’t have this every day, but a good hot-weather summertime beer. Bottle was unique.
