Was expecting funky / skunky, but actually the aroma was pleasant and the flavor was actually full-bodied. Not overly complex, but did have nice malt up-front and some slight bitterness at the end. Won’t have this every day, but a good hot-weather summertime beer. Bottle was unique. castironchef (6), Pearl City, Hawaii, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2008 12oz bottle; date code: GE11B128 10:26; purchased on 2008.04.23; $1.50 @ SWAM
One of the better light beers. Beats Corona and Pacifico in my book. Light and refreshing, with enough body and taste to stand out from the rest. noid1985 (52), Broadview, Illinois, USA

Other than that, not much to say for it. I think I’ll try a slice of lime in #2. I picked this up by mistake - I was in a hurry and grabbed this out of the cooler - I thought I was buying Modelo Negro. How dumb is that? I do give it a bit more credit than weezfour - and by the way, are submarines actually painted? weezfour (122), Oradell, New Jersey, USA

Equally suited for striping the paint of the side of a submarine, and for pouring down the sink. Pass. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2008 This pale lager pours a light yellow gold color from a clear 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, grassy, corny and sweet. A light bodied pale lager. Malts are mild, cereal and grainy. Hops are slightly bitter and a touch spicy. Lively carbonation. Somewhat metallic tasting and that flavor, sad to say, is the major flavor component to that beer. Sort of like beer flavored water; buy not in a good way. It has no off tastes because it has almost no flavor at all. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Bottle, 12 oz. Light yellow with a spare diminishing, off-white head. Some lacing and a clear body. Aroma of malt and hay, light hops, and skunk. Light and thin on the palate with a soft carbonation. Flavor of skunk. Not a very interesting beer.
