Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 8, 2008 Can. Large fluffy bubbly head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma of cardboard, wet grass, hay and light metallic feel. Over the palate came light malty tones. Light bodied with a light dry and thin texture and average carbonation. Light bitter and sweet flavor. Light dry and bitter finish. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Mar 7, 2008 Updated: Jul 25, 2008I read the comments on this before before I tried it......Now, for my rating....
Poured a slight dark gold color with head retention that I expected, about the same as other Macro Brews. This actually has a slight aroma that I liked better then Corona, sweet malt, flavor is much the same....except for the obvious corn, but has an ok balance....hops not too obvious but present....This one is not that bad........would drink again if free..... SN11 (57), USA Feb 29, 2008 Had this at a mexican restaurant for first time. It’s even worse than Corona and equally overpriced. Why the fuck would anyone name a beer Modelo? Maybe because it’s modelled after piss? redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA Feb 25, 2008 Had this one at a Mexican restaurant in Arlington, TX (El Chico). It was served in a frosted mug with a salt on the rim and a lime. The salt was totally un-called-for and the mug was so frosted that half way through there was ice floating in the beer. The lime was okay, though. Bright golden color, I could take or leave the taste, it was kind of boring, but would have been good with my fajitas without the salt or ice.
12 oz. bottle. guyinchicago (516), marengo, Illinois, USA Feb 21, 2008 another yellow mess they must have stole the recipe from america just like our jobs and our country yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 19, 2008 33 cL clear bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow. Bitterhops, grainy and light acidic grassy aroma. Thin watery flavour with a little bitterness to the finish. Subdued metallic note. Increasing bitterness in the far finish. Drinkable. LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2008 Ass crap. This is a boring and lazy beer. Aroma and taste of metal and seltzer water. Pour was a light gold with a one finger white head. I think the "Yo quiero Taco Bell" dog would run from this. Awful. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Feb 17, 2008 Not a great beer. Purports to be one of the best beers in the world, introduced to the market in 1966...but I wonder. It doesn’t taste very good, and tends to cost WAY too much in the U.S.
