Mild macro skunk in the aroma & corn. Starts watery & finishes watery with a small nine volt effect on the tongue. Blah tasting like sour apples or something. Last half down the drain. Grupo Modelo down the drain again… arobe35 (23), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA

I must say it has a slightly better taste than Corona (not saying much). Overall, if last option...drink water. ogivlado (3045), Zagreb, Croatia

Golden coloured, small airy head, lively carbonation. Faint hoppy and sweet caramelish taste with notes of corn and cardboard. Watery bitter finish. Just another Corona crap. Grovlam (3809), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Can. Large fluffy bubbly head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma of cardboard, wet grass, hay and light metallic feel. Over the palate came light malty tones. Light bodied with a light dry and thin texture and average carbonation. Light bitter and sweet flavor. Light dry and bitter finish. Swalden28 (1447), McKinney, Texas, USA

Poured a slight dark gold color with head retention that I expected, about the same as other Macro Brews. This actually has a slight aroma that I liked better then Corona, sweet malt, flavor is much the same....except for the obvious corn, but has an ok balance....hops not too obvious but present....This one is not that bad........would drink again if free..... It’s even worse than Corona and equally overpriced. Why the fuck would anyone name a beer Modelo? Maybe because it’s modelled after piss? redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Had this one at a Mexican restaurant in Arlington, TX (El Chico). It was served in a frosted mug with a salt on the rim and a lime. The salt was totally un-called-for and the mug was so frosted that half way through there was ice floating in the beer. The lime was okay, though. Bright golden color, I could take or leave the taste, it was kind of boring, but would have been good with my fajitas without the salt or ice.
