Bitterhops, grainy and light acidic grassy aroma. Thin watery flavour with a little bitterness to the finish. Subdued metallic note. Increasing bitterness in the far finish. Drinkable. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Ass crap. This is a boring and lazy beer. Aroma and taste of metal and seltzer water. Pour was a light gold with a one finger white head. I think the "Yo quiero Taco Bell" dog would run from this. Awful. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Purports to be one of the best beers in the world, introduced to the market in 1966...but I wonder. It doesn’t taste very good, and tends to cost WAY too much in the U.S. john81 (8), USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Similar to “premium” US mass produced beers. I have only drank it in Mexico and everything tastes better on the beach in January. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Aroma of old yellow ear corn and musky oats, ugh. Hits the mouth with a thin body, can taste alot of corn in it, finish is rather inept. Make the bad beer stop, make the bad beer stop!!! kidmartinek (975), austin, Texas, USA

Pretty bubbling. Has a small white top. Smells like sweet grain with a decent bittering, hop aroma presence. Tastes like thick, corn malt, and some cleaning agent? Bland finish. A little thick for a ale lager, doncha think? pkbites (324), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Feb 10, 2008 I work for a municipality where we have a lot of Mexican events (rodeos, dances, etc..). I see a lot of people drinking Modelo. A co-worker said it was good stuff, and that’s why we saw so many Latinos drinking it instead of Tacate or Carona.
Well, tonight my son left a 6 pack of it in our fridge. I don’t know what my co-worker was on! This stuff sucks! Pours a piss yellow with no head. Smells like cheap malt liquor: corn water and syrup. Weak watered down flavor. What little flavor there is is really bad. Like rotting fruit.
Some bitter after-taste, but not in a good way. I probably won’t be finishing the rest of these. Blech!
