cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2007 Updated: May 23, 2009Odd shaped clear stubby bottle. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color. Hints of lemony or citrus aromas. Good level of carbonation. Taste is somewhat lemony or lime, just a bit. Comes across almost industrial and processed, mildly tart. Tho there is no bitterness on this short finish, it does have a metallic background. Odd watery creek like soda effect. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 8, 2007 More flavor than Corona, which (1) doesn’t say much about Corona and (2) doesn’t say much about this beer. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Aug 7, 2007 Can, some gas station in Ferndale, WA Golden colour. Thin line of head. The aroma shows green apples, high alcohols, some random fermentation byproducts that ought to have blown off...not lagered much I guess. On the palate, it’s still quite cidery and grainy but fades into watery oblivion just enough to allow me to choke back the can. Could they have spent less time and money making this? uglyblond1 (173), Nebraska, USA Aug 4, 2007 Bottle. Golden color. Aroma of malt and leather. Flavor has the pronounced leather and dull hop character of Mexican beers. The hops are noticeable, but have a rather dull oxidized taste. Finish is drinkable, but I prefer Bohemia in this type. A big step up from Corona though, with more full body and substance. rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Aug 4, 2007 more of a full body than Sol or Corona and a little less bitter. Pours OK with a lot of fizz but after the head settles its a pleasant drink. whiterabbit81 (243), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 1, 2007 Medium golden color with almost no head. Watery body. Taste rather metallic, with a little bit of malt and a smidgen of salt flavor. Just kinda gross. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jul 28, 2007 12 oz bottle. Clear gold with a white head. Nose and flavor are both very sweet malt - no bitterness anywhere. Thin body. More palatable than expected, but ultimately one dimensional and boring. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 28, 2007 clear and bright golden-bronze colour, fair foamy white head; a gentle plastic aroma is all what the nose of this beer can propose; oily mouthfeel, medium-bodied, some astringence, the finish is short and quite dry with shy herbal notes - a beer that needs indulgence ...
