NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Apr 24, 2006 Standard, dark golden coloured pale lager. A bit citrus in the aroma. Flavor a bit hoppy perhaps. Enjoyable, but not special. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Apr 21, 2006 This pale lager pours a light yellow gold color from a clear 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, grassy, corny and sweet. A light bodied pale lager. Malts are mild, cereal and grainy. Hops are slightly bitter and a touch spicy. Lively carbonation. Somewhat metallic tasting and that flavor, sad to say, is the major flavor component to that beer. Sort of like beer flavored water; buy not in a good way. It has no off tastes because it has almost no flavor at all. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 21, 2006 Updated: Apr 27, 2006Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma of corn, sweet malts, and citrus, Flavor is bitter and macro-like, thin, watery. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA Apr 19, 2006 Can. I cant tell if this is above or below on corona on modelo’s line. since this was out of a can, it tasted much better to me than the corona, and was actulaly less offensive than many domestic lagers, but definatly not worth the premium price it garners as an "import" Kiapepito (111), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Apr 17, 2006 was finally able to change it up with my dad, and his usually corona drink for easter, but still stuck with the mexican beers.. hahaha... it’s a yellowish color with a white head to it, it taste okay, nothing to fancy pivo (2535), Germany Apr 14, 2006 Foul nose, gold color. Thin, watery body. Oxidized tastes. No bitter. Soapy feel. Quite bad. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Apr 11, 2006 A little darker gold than Corona (the universal Mexican beer meter-stick), with a faint grassy aroma and a fuller mouthfeel. Not bad-- best enjoyed while in Mexico. bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Apr 9, 2006 Twas surprised by this one, honestly... in a decent way. (From the can) Pours deep golden into the glass with a diminishing head, small lacing to the glass. For the first aroma of the night, it honestly had a grapey, cabernet nose to it... almost dead on. This is where good went to decent. The flavor still is still a bit blander than I wanted, with slight notes of pale malt, a quick smitten of corn, and just a hint of bitterness to round out the pull. But for such lackluster, it did have a decent mouthfeel, better than I anticipated. It cleansed the palate well enough, without necessarily feeling watery. Definitely not a lot of complexity going on in this one, but it’s certainly better than most of its cultural counterparts.
