Can’t say I was surprised, but Modelo failed to make sweet love to my palate. Instead, this was the kind of cheap lay that you’d rather forget about. Alright, that was a little dramatic. Point is, this beer is mostly unoffensive if you drink it cold out of the fridge; it becomes increasingly shittier after that. Its darker counterpart isn’t much to talk about, but it seems like a damn masterpiece when compared to this stuff.

Are you looking for cheap beer that is yellow and fizzy? This is your beer. Of every can that I opened, 100% were yellow, and all of them were likewise fizzy.

From the bottle. Taste is a sweet light body beer with lots of lime flavor. Honestly I rather enjoy it. At least better than the pbr I had before it. And that was the best beer in America in 1893.

beer-wise, this is not something i would recommend to any beer-lover. pairing-with-tony’s-bake-it-yourself-pizza-wise, i would rate it on the low end of minimally adequate. it doesn’t interfere all that much with the pizza flavors and it also has an evervescence to it typical of fizzy yellow beer marketed for purposes other than flavor/character profile

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, 355 ml. Had this one about 5 years ago in mexican restaurant in Westfield, London. As I recall it wasn’t that bad, more than drinkable.

Golden glowing body like Corona, flimsy head. Simple grainy malts, that typical citrus boozy aroma, no hop. Refreshing I have to admit, but pretty poor as a beer. Nice soda. :-) (Bottle in Mexican restaurant ZuZu in Austin)
