Modelo Especial, a pilsener type beer, was introduced to the market in 1966. Today it is sold in glass bottles as well as cans, which are having an increasing demand due to consumer preferences, making Modelo Especial the leader in the can segment in Mexico.

Can - Pours golden amber with a filmy white head. Nose is honey, light grain, corn, and really nothing else. Taste is grainy, sweet, and a little bit sharp with a corny finish. Thin and slick with ample carbonation. Really gross and sweet.

Watery! Nothing more to say really. A little beer flavor in the finish maybe? Blah

Like water. Great for spicy food at Mexican dive-bars. Very drinkable, not filling.

Of the Mexican pale lagers, this is my favorite. I actually prefer it from the can because clear bottles are sketchy. The aroma is cereal and a faint funkiness. The appearance is golden and the carbonation is just right. The flavor is grainy with a short kiss of hops in the finish. It is clean, drinkable, and refreshing.

Clear deep gold with a large white long lasting head. Spotty lacing. Nice grainy grassy herbal aroma. Taste is well balanced with sweet malts dominating in the beginning then the grassy herbal hops show up with a light but distinct bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a smooth easy drinking quality. With the relatively low abv. of 4.4% this has so much more flavor than any light beer on the market.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak cardboard aroma. Fruity malty grainy flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy cardboard finish.

No point pouring it. Cleary Yellow and fizzy. Pilsner body. Tastes like a carbonated water down budwieser(1:10). Outrageously priced. Lacks many things.

24oz can. Pours yellow with a fizzy white head. Aromas of grain and corn. Light sweet grain flavor. Light bodied and watery. Chuggable. Nothing special here, standard fizzy yellow beer.

Easy drinking, drink cold. Minimal flavor, does the trick. Light taste similar to coronas.
