1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
beer-wise, this is not something i would recommend to any beer-lover. pairing-with-tony’s-bake-it-yourself-pizza-wise, i would rate it on the low end of minimally adequate. it doesn’t interfere all that much with the pizza flavors and it also has an evervescence to it typical of fizzy yellow beer marketed for purposes other than flavor/character profile

Bottle, 355 ml. Had this one about 5 years ago in mexican restaurant in Westfield, London. As I recall it wasn’t that bad, more than drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Golden glowing body like Corona, flimsy head. Simple grainy malts, that typical citrus boozy aroma, no hop. Refreshing I have to admit, but pretty poor as a beer. Nice soda. :-) (Bottle in Mexican restaurant ZuZu in Austin)

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is actually a decent macro pale lager, I've always enjoyed it for what it is. Admittedly the aroma is pretty foul, grainy corn and thoroughly industrial, but on the other hand the appearance of this beer struck me as better than average, with a strong golden, almost bronze, color and decent lacing. The taste is sweet grain and finishes clean, simple but drinkable. Not as watery as other macro lagers. Of course if the decision is between this brew and it's cousin Negra Modelo than go with the latter without hesitation, unless you're not looking to savor your beer and just need something thirst-quenching.

Drink this beer at one degree above freezing, and it’s a tolerable Mexican style lager. Grainy, with a bit of sweet citrus and a healthy dose of corn. But as it warms, it becomes borderline undrinkable. Flavors of sulfur and skunk attack the senses.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
355 ml clear bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.5%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish Heineken-like lightstruck aroma, notes of maize. The flavour (as far as there is any flavour at all) has maize, grain and wet cardboard. Some weak citric notes, a little sweetness, minimal hops. As the beer is wet, cold and carbonated, it may serve some purpose under the Mexican sun - otherwise, it is one to forget.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
I can’t believe this escaped rating for so long for me... Pours a very clear golden color with a moderate white head on it. Nose has a little corn in there, but is pretty much like every other pale lager you’ll find. The taste is a little sweeter than others, which is common to the Mexican lagers, I think. Meh.
