Dec 2, 2004 Pours a light transparent gold with a very small fast falling white head. This brew was very skunked with a light malt nose and almost no hops. I really can’t say I like this brew at all, very funky nasty taste, kinda a grainy dirty light malt taste, a bit fruity, but foul from the skunkiness.

Nov 19, 2004 Better than than their stable mate Corona (LIME?!) but nowhere near Negra Modelo. This is what the big 3 in the US could be if they tried even a little bit. Average flavor and balance. Nothing memorable.

Nov 14, 2004 At a resort in Cancun all they had was this or Corona. Better than Corona, had it here in the states, not as good as I remembered, probably because I only drank one versus who knows how many.

Nov 8, 2004 Very unimpressive. No aroma and no flavor. Glad I only bought a single b/c at $8.30 a sixer this is severely overpriced. Best thing I can say for this one is "it’s cold & refreshing".

Nov 7, 2004 Clear golden/amber body topped by medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grain, some bread. Taste is medium sweet, grain, some bread, light caramel. As usual for Mexican beers, no bitterness. Light-medium body. All told, with the qualifier that Modelo is a mainstream Mexican beer, not bad.
