Ale_Drinker (1073), Sunnyvale, California, USA Feb 27, 2007 Bleh. Tastes like corona only more water and stale. I don’t have anything good to say about this beer... Not even on a hot summer day when it is ice cold.
Doppelganger (1198), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Oct 7, 2008 Bottle from Phil_l with a box of fun stuff Beer Merchants. Thanks Phil! Pleasant little trip into the over-saturated colors of nostalgia with this one. Ambitious road trip right down the middle of the Mexico, over mountains, to coffee plantations, deserts, both coasts. My dismal Spanish. Getting very lost at 3 am in Mexico City. A great adventure, and some Modelo Especial figured in there somewhere.
Pours pale copper with a lot of white head that collapses away quickly. Some definite hop nose, sort of a hop extract quality, a bit industrial but fine, some toasted field corn. Supermarket white bread malt flavor, a bit more of those industrial hops. Admittedly under the influenced of nostagia, this beer was more enjoyable than the sum of it’s parts, Fun to try it again. AdamSkillin (368), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA Oct 6, 2008 Not sure why the bottle has to look like that, but it’s kind of cool. Why do we need 2 Coronas? I guess this is better than Anheuser World Select, but it’s not a pilsener style beer at all, so I score this beer an extra fail. italianjohn (86), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 29, 2008 Nice Golden color with little head very easy drinking beer nothing special to it has a corny taste to it but these go down quick its just great pounding lawn mower beer awesome bottle oh6gdx (6332), Vaasa, Finland Sep 26, 2008 Bottled.
