UPDATED: JAN 3, 2014 still, a true middle-of-the-road mexican beer. a 24 pak of cans for 20.99; a sprinkle of lime salt across the foamless top (poured it real slow) and it was hot outside, too, but i’m inside now (it’s winter) and it tastes so terrifico with a meal of smothered burritos; jalapenos, on the side; onions, dotting a bowl of green chili and a mariachi tune filling the drinking room.

"better than corona, but that’s not exactly high praise. tastes of cereal and corn...a little malt. pretty boring, and can be a little skunky. clear glass sucks...why is it still used?"

Nice light honey Amber pour with no head. Nose is a light grain bill, corn and simple crackery malts. Some honey and floral notes. Light drinkable body with just a hint of a bite on the end. Average carb. Taste is a doughy malt profile with some light grains (corn and cereal grains) some light honey and floral notes. Simple drinkable lager

I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste corn, grassy. I thought this was not good. I would not drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the Villages, 2 for 1 happy hour! Pale yellow with I finger white head. Not much aroma, mild carbonation. Clean mild flavor but cold and refreshing on a warm Florida evening...

Clear amber with a decent white head. Muted aroma. Flavor brings a little character at least. Light, watery and very easy to drink. Better balance than most macro pales. Certainly stands above the bottom tier.

thin and utterly characterless...but it’s not awful. it tastes like a lager and you could do much worse.

Transfer from BA review on 1-26-13- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Poured from bottle as a medium golden color with a one finger white head. The head fades rather fast leaving only a lighter level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is a mix of corn and some fruity smells. Mixed with these was a skunky smell with a light vegetal aroma. Taste – The taste begins with flavors of a bread and corn mixed with hints of a caramel sweetness. As the flavor advances further the caramel fades giving rise to more sweet corn flavors. Some citrus flavors and a grassy flavor come to the tongue more at the end, leaving a rather unpleasant mix of flavors on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that is a little above average. The thinner body and higher carbonation are quite fitting for the style, making it a rather easy drinking brew. Overall – I think I would leave this one alone on most occasions.
