COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Modelo Especial, a pilsener type beer, was introduced to the market in 1966. Today it is sold in glass bottles as well as cans, which are having an increasing demand due to consumer preferences, making Modelo Especial the leader in the can segment in Mexico.

Modelo Especial? Must be French. Clear, golden pour Slight aroma of grain scythed from fields by day laborers. Sweet, sticky aroma. Finish is crisp. This beer is about as bad as the US immigration policy. The only reason I would buy this brew again is if it jumped out of the can and drywalled my basement.

A pretty good, crisp, mexican, that is best (obviously) with some good mexican food. better than corona and XX.

Can. It’s fine, but not very clean. I will put a lime in this one on occasion to make it more tolerable. It’s really messy, even for pale lager. I will still buy it from time to time. i like the can. Thats really all I can say.

I wasn't taking notes back in march 2000. And it would cost too much to travel back to Mexico for a pint. More of the same. Labbatt's Genuine Draft is a good substitute. It was good enough to bring back a couple of cans. Much better than both Sol and Corona.

I had many of these on a recent vacation to Mexico. It works there, but it’s nothing I’d seek out north of the border. To me it tasted like a Bud with slightly more hops.

12 oz. Bottle. Despite the clear bottle, it doesn’t smell skunked. A clean malt aroma, typical of Mexican cervesa. Medium body and smooth. While not too distinguishing, it beats the Corona, Tecate, Sol type.
