12oz Bottle: My first bottle on my Mexican beer quest on my cruise last week, and a lesson learned: beer gets cheaper the further you get away from the main drag in Cozumel. Bought this from a lady in a pharmacy that didn’t speak english, only enough to say "2!". Never pay more than a dollar for Mexican beer. Anyways, I had it from the clear bottle and was shocked to find it hadn’t gone skunky. Until I tasted it and realized it would have required hops for that. That said I can see how it might be refreshing if I’d been stranded in the desert for a week with no sustenance or water.

Can. Pours a dark gold with one finger white head. Nose is your typical Mexican lager with straw and a bit of hops. Taste is grain, corn and a touch of bitter hops in the finish. Light mouth feel. Nothing special but refreshing on this 101 degree evening as I’m grilling steaks.

Drank a big can of this while waiting for some Chinese food, which seems weird I know. This just tastes like another Budweiser to me, nothing much to say about it, I can’t really read into something like this too much. Nothing offensive about it flavor-wise, but nothing to go apeshit over either. Refreshing swill for a hot summer day. It’s not that bad. Doesn’t really give me much to write about, so that’s why this review is so pointless and boring.

Bottle. Beautiful lemon yellow, incredibly clear, thin white lather, excellent lace. mild, Honeyed malt nose with grasssy/spicy hop and barest notes of white grape and banana. Light, crackery flavor finishes with a splash of lime juice acidty. Palate is thin and juicy and undercarbonated. Gentle earthy spicy aftertaste. Though by no means a flavorful beer, it is better than average for the uninteresting "pale lager" style... roughly twice a "good" as budmilloors. I was pleasantly surprised.

Pours a transparent dark yellow and highly carbonated. Thin white head. The aroma is that of canned sweet creamed corn. Some candied bananas. Very thin palate. Smooth but the flavor has an off after taste that doesn’t sit well with me.
