24 oz. can . Pale gold, clear, some steady bubbles. The nose is sweet, and smells "soapy". A straw lager. with a thin body and a bit fizzy. sweet straw lager. too sweet to be refreshing on a hot day. Grainy aroma; , thin white head; malty with some fruit; smooth, thin, easy drinking; low carbonation for a lager; some mild hop bitterness.

What kind of crazy restaurant carries Modelo Especial but not Negra Modelo? May need an extra lime wedge because this one’s pretty skinny.

Clear 355ml bottle, 4.5%, BB May 2015. As you open the foil-encrusted top, you know you’re in for something ’especial’. Yellow, clear, highly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is light, bready, boiled sweets, some fabric plaster. Body is light, highly foamy, spritzy carbonation. Taste is light, soda and some biscuity malt, I’m picking up an adjunct such as rice, no real bitterness to it. Very little flavour here.

Skuffende. Meget skuffende. Kedelig og uden smag. Alt for ordinær. Ikke en øl jeg køber igen.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 1B). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch 056 01:23. AROMA: faint malty sweet and grainy aroma (corn) with some adjunct notes (rice). no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: light gold color and translucent. thin white head with low retention. TASTE: very dilluted malt flavour with a grainy component. very low bitterness with a faint semi-sweet finish. PALATE: very dilluted body with low carbonation and no carbonic acid. OVERALL: a very poor example of a pale lager with very dilluted flavour.

0,355 flaske fra Føtex Nørrebro, etter dagens malerøkt: intens dypgylden farge. Kort bruseskum. Tynne saker med litt malt og antydning til humlesyrlighet. Funker sikkert ok i Mexicos klima.

355ml Flasche. Klar und golden. Minimale Schaumkrone. Sehr, sehr wässrig, wenn ein Aroma überhaupt schmeckbar ist, dann Mais.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2015 I really like the bottle. A fairly run of the mill pilsener beer. I wish I had a lime in this.

Tried the first half without a lime second half with a lime. Definitely better with a lime but all the Mexican pale lagers are. Good with spicy food that’s about it. Still I like beer so it’s hard to rag on it too bad. Decent.
