Tasted from can. Pours a dark brown with a khacki head. Great lacing. Huge coffee aroma with smokey and roasted notes. Taste is moderately bitter with a mild to moderate sweetness. Creamy and clingy mouthfeel that finishes with some bitter dryness. Flavors of coffee, caramel, dark chocolate and toffee. Very nice coffee stout.

Dark pour with an off white head. Massive coffee and roasted malt nose. Again in the taste. Nice bitter chocolate malt finish. On the very light side of a stout, rich but drinkable. Rivals Surly Coffee Bender as an exceptional breakfast beer.

Draught at The Rover. Pours tiny translucent black with a creamy frothy pale mocha head that leaves some sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and roasty with roasted malts, crispbread, dark roast coffee, moist soil, burnt wood, minerals, coffee hard candy and hints if lemon peal and grass. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty, mouthfeel is soft, velvety, creamy, round, tiny roasted astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, toasted grains, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, cocoa powder, moist soil and minerals. Very solid drinkable coffee stout. Balanced and tasty.

22. Thanks, K! Pours a murky near black with a dense and creamy dark tan head. Big sweet black bread and dark coffee nose. Creamy lightish body, soft carb. Nice earthy coffee mid palate with sweet malty counterpoint. Surprisingly flavorful for the lighter body and abv. Long earthy finish.

Can from Foodshow in Shibuya. Poured into a shaker pint. Opaque black with a nice dark tan head that hangs around for a bit. Great lacing. Nose is all coffee at first with some cacao nibs and arugula present as it warms up. Thin body with a creamy mouthfeel. Nice roasty and bitter flavors on the palate without being overly burnt. Some wood and leather present along with some nice acidity. Bone dry finish. Only issue is the slightly thin body. Very nice stout though.
