COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black House is an oatmeal coffee stout bursting with coffee aroma and flavor. Modern Times is one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be exceptionally picky about which coffees we use and how we roast them. The result is an abundantly flavorful beer that’s incredibly complex and aromatic, with loads of roast character and a chocolate-covered espresso bean finish. But Black House packs all that flavor into a reasonable package: at only 5.8% ABV, it can comfortably be consumed by the pint.

Can @ home courtesy of Felipe. Thanks man!! Pour is pitch black with a creamy brown head and great lacing. Big roasty, cocoa nibs, tar, leathery, earthy, espresso, light vanilla, marshmallows, and bready aroma. Taste is toasted bread, coffee, sweet vanilla, graham crackers, molasses, brown sugar, and grass with a sweet roasted finish. Slick mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very tasty stout and the mouthfeel on this beer is incredible, considering its less than 6%. Great session stout that tastes like it could be an imperial. Nice stuff!

Can. A red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Pours a pitch black with creamy tan head. Coffee aroma is strong on the nose with subtle hints of toffee and cocoa as well. Very light body with the coffee flavor again making a presence. Very easy drinking stout with the toffee and bitter chocolate coming thru for a very flavorful brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours deep cola, close to black with a 1 finger mocha head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. The taste is coffee up front, perfect bitterness, fades to chocolate. Semi-rich mouthfeel, low carb, drinkable and smooth. Excellent coffee stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark roasted coffee aroma, with espresso, mocha, roasted barley and caramel. Appears a dark black with a finger foam. Coffee dominates the taste with more subtle rich chocolate, creamy caramel, roasted malts, faint nuts and toffee sweetness. Overall, this is really well rounded with rich coffee overtones. A rating.
