Blazing World is an aggressively hoppy beer that shares characteristics with both double IPAs and amber ales. Itís hopped with an excessive quantity of Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, giving it an intensely fruity, dank hop aroma, followed by a huge & complex hop flavor and a healthy dose of bitterness. Its amber body is deceptively dry, offering just enough malt backbone to support its distinctive and incredibly robust hop character.

16oz can acquired via trade. Thanks! Glad to finally try the hoppy ones. Pours a darker well hazed amber hue, subtle winter sunset orange, depth and firm haze darken this significantly. Rust and copper body with a small cakey offwhite head atop. Decent layer with ok stick around and lacing overall. Aromas are a bit citric, earthy with some gentle tropical fruit, white grape. Bready malts, floral, a bit of biscuit and carmelized essence. Touches of earth, grainy and biscuity with decent hop character. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, distinct strike of Mosaic is fruity and tropical, gentle pizza spice, florals and mellow citrus. Some decent bitterness but a bit more fruity and sweet. Touches of biscuit and carmelized elements poke through a bit. Some gentle sweetness into the middle, earth and citric bitterness, florals. Gentle fruit character still presses on, tropical and a bit sweet. Backend is a bit more earthy and bitter, rind and floral bitterness hit a bit more and cut through that sweeter malt base here which isnít overwhelming and plays well with the fruity hops that still lead the charge. But it is definitely noticeable. Finish is a bit earthy, bitter, that lingering weird pizza spice, tropical fruit essence I get sometimes. While the base is a bit sweeter than the last rate, this one offers a more intriguing hop profile for me at times. And I think Fortunate is ultimately more drinkable, but this one more complex. Still, overall I do find it a bit underwhelming compared to reviews. Perhaps getting to Cali and retrying these there should be a priority. Otherwise, this is a nice beer that offers good flavors, some trendy hop character in more conservative tones albeit, and some good flow (and countering sweetness).

Pours an amber color with a orange hue. Aroma is slightly fruity with a dank smell. Taste is mild, and a little bitter. Some hay and spice throughout the beer with minimal hops flavor on the palate.

16 oz can. Clearish brown with an off-white head. Nose is toffee, orange marmalade, light musk, peach and mango. Soft medium body with a tang getting sticky. Taste is honey, pine, strawberry and grass. Everything you could want in an amber.

A delicious and aromatic sweetly hoppy amber ale. Slightly dank, with citrus exploding out of each sip. Hoppy leaning but a pretty nice balance since the hops are more flavor and aroma and less bitter. Nice, nice brew

Can from unknown via Denver. Pours a translucent amber, just a bit of off-white head. Aroma is indeed dank, lots of resinous notes and maybe some citrus peel as well, very heady, with a hint of Munich malt as well. Arch and dry with a fluffy quality to the finish. Iím not generally into hops, but this is pleasant enough.

Can on a balcony in Newport Beach on 10th July 2014 while on holiday at my daughters. Not too sure what to make of this beer ídankí in English = dull and uninteresting, I wondered why they advertised the fact on the tin. Anyway it means something else in the US apparently. Poured a hazy dull amber (dank in fact), the head large and staying. Hops all over the place, up my nose, down my throat, in my ears and through my skin pores. This is a hoppy amber beer without a doubt. Bitter from start to finish with an almost harsh dry aftertaste. Good if you are into hops, otherwise keep away.

My good buddy Syndicate hooked this one up a couple weeks back.. Finally got around to it tonight while enjoying some brews and getting some backlog work done... Thanks Darrell!! Pours a pretty muddy looking amber... light tan head.. good retention and lacing. Nose has plenty of sticky piney hops, but a resolute malt profile brings dry toast, caramel and IMO, a pretty big hit of diacetyl... Flavor begins with a good bitter bite and then moves immediately into pithy grapefruit/big pine... malts take over and provide a lingering toasted bread playground for the hops that go on and on.. With warmth a little buttery note is magnified by the residual sweetness... but also a tropical fruity hoppiness emerges as well.. Nice body and pretty drinkable... I personally donít care for the abundant darker caramel malty/toasty profile in this high percentage, but it is still well done... Thanks once again Darrel!!

Draft at Beercraft. Amber/ ruby color. Aroma is a ton on resin and pine with light caramel sweetness. In the flavor caramel malts and hints of toffee are here however, the pine resin is a little over done. Comes off a bit unbalanced. Long lasting, lingering pine with a dry texture.

Dark orange. Nose is super piney. Lots of pine cone and sweet west coast maltiness. Explosive mouthfeel. Really intense sweetness, crystal and pale malt with insanely piney almost dank resinous from the core of a pine trees. Intensely bitter. Sticks around a while
