COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blazing World is an aggressively hoppy beer that shares characteristics with both double IPAs and amber ales. Itís hopped with an excessive quantity of Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, giving it an intensely fruity, dank hop aroma, followed by a huge & complex hop flavor and a healthy dose of bitterness. Its amber body is deceptively dry, offering just enough malt backbone to support its distinctive and incredibly robust hop character.

By the looks of it, Iím the THIRD person to rate this from a can! Very citrusy. You can really taste the characteristics of the Nelson hops. Quite delicious, actually. Not too astringent, not too malty. I really dig the grapefruit flavors. Did I mention it is IN A CAN! I mean, come on... what are the odds? Good stuff, would buy from again, A++++++.

Pours hazy orange. Smell is fruity, rich orange candy hops. Taste is orange slice candy. Doesnít taste much like an amber at all. Doesnít have that crystal malt typical of them. More like a boozy IPA. Alcohol shows in flavor. Overly syrupy and heavy for an amber or any beer for my tastes with something of this flavor. Bright citrusy flavors held down by slightly cloying richness that keeps it from being refreshing along with too much booze. Decent but not my cup of beer.

Aroma: smelly mango, toffee, dried fruit. Flavor: Dried fruit, toffee, earthy mango and malty raisin. Long toffee, mango and raisin finish. Comment: Unlike most US ambers there is no excess sweetness. Very good.

Poured out of a 16 oz can and immediately smelled big hops. Total SoCal hop bomb. Deep amber color with a 1/2" tight head. There wasnt much lacing on the glass but it did ring true that this is dank. Aroma is big fruity hops with lesser malt profile. Taste is fruity hops, lightly piney and bready malts. Not overwhelming but a nice balance.

Can. Dirty amber with an off white head that lasts OK. Brooding fruity hop aroma with grapefruit, mango skin, over-ripe, resin, caramel, biscuit. Sweet and biscuity with loads of fruit - peach and tropical, then citrus; pine is more gentle. Not all that bitter at the finish, but itís just dry enough for the fruit to waft through. Finish makes it.

Tap at Marciero. Fruity nose, lightly earthy, caramel and some butterscotch, but light. Lovely malt, biscuit, a touch of caramel and toffee, orange, lemon, mango from the hops. Yes, if you called it an IPA, no one would argue, but that amber ale character still comes through. Good stuff.

Aluminum can from Sproutís: Poured a hazy dark golden honey color with a froth topping of foam head. Aroma is hoppy with scents of fruit juice perhaps apple or strawberry juice and is quite possibly the most aromatic amber ale I can remember. Somehow also reminds me of the scent of a sweet onion freshly sliced that also burns my eyes in return. The drink doesnít deliver much as far as the hop profile I had picked up on from my nose but there still is a delicate undertone of bitter funky hops that taste very strange. Not exactly the best tasting amber ales but above the low standards set by all the companies trying to find a middle ground market for this particular category.

A hoppy amber ale. Super enjoyable from a great San Diego brewery. Even straight out of the can it's a tasty and quality brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 ounce can poured into a tulip. Dark golden orange color. Nose is tropical fruit, dank, pine; flavor follows with a medium body and a dry bitter finish. Kind of a hybrid amber and IPA; hoppy and unique.

[ As Modern Times Blazing World ].
Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, tropical fruit, peach. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, hoppy, citrus, licorice hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140118]

Amber pour, off white head. Nice combo of lightly roasted malts and some resinous and grassy hops. Touched of roasted nuts and toasted pepitas.
