Fortunate Islands shares the characteristics of a hoppy IPA and an easy drinking wheat beer. A massive dose of Citra and Amarillo hops gives it a blastwave of tropical hop aromatics: mango, tangerine, and passionfruit all leap out of the glass when poured. Brewed with 60% wheat malt, Fortunate Islands also has the mild, nutty malt backbone, reasonable ABV, and restrained bitterness to make it an outstanding session beer.

Such a tasty beer. Don’t let the wheat scare you off. Super fresh and hoppy. One of my new favorites. Smells like bud and drinks so smooth, with a killer hop addition. Not a hefe. Their best beer of the 4 I’ve had. Loads of fresh hop. Might be my new go-to.

Ridiculously large sample in Ohai. Clear gold color with bubbly carbonation and a small white head. The aroma is peaches and fruity hops. Lighter flavor with a little bitterness and a hint of wheat. Fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Look; off white fine tight high head. Not completely clear golden body. Aroma; hops, citrus, caramel, berries, peel, soft sweetness. Taste; hops, fruity citric peels, leaves, juicy light malts, more wheat notes in the finish, and still nice peels there. Palate; normal body, soft carbonation, fresh feel. Overall; wheat ale served at 5’c is very very likeable. [tap@BishopsArms Luleå]
