Lomaland is Belgian-style saison that’s both complex and quaffable. In keeping with the farmhouse tradition, Lomaland is brewed with barley, wheat, and corn, giving it a complex and delicious malt body that pairs beautifully with food. Czech Saaz hops are added in the kettle to give it a lightly grassy, peppery note and just enough bitterness to cleanse the palate. It’s distinctively rustic, earthy aroma comes from the unique blend of traditional Belgian yeast strains (95% Dupont/5% Westmalle) we use to ferment it.

It pours a clear pale golden color with average head. The aroma has a Belgian spiciness to it like pepper and a bit of lemon citrus. The taste has some spiciness to it as well and some nice grassy bitterness. The body is light, clean and dry. I love the description on the can as rustic, it describes it well. This was quite enjoyable and worth the buy.

Can - Pours lightly hazy golden with a filmy white head. Nose is white pepper, a bit of tropical fruit, and dry yeastiness. Taste is the same--peppery and bitter, with dry pale malt and a light fruitiness. A bit astringent and spicy. Fluffy, soft and thin.

Can. Almost clear golden liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of white pepper, earth, grain, light banana, bubblegum and light leaves. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of grain, light banana and floral hops. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Surprisingly pale yellow, this beer pours out of the can hazy and clean; the surface is topped high with a soft, linen-white head. The head is huge, and is quite full of the beer; wet and sticky, it clings to the sides of the glass as I drink down. An aroma of hay and a seemingly docile Belgian yeast come up from the glass, but the first sip brings a complex and flavorful liquid full of honey and spices. Carbonated appropriately, this is a quiet but tantalizing; refreshing and tasty brew. I would suggest to anyone that does not have a taste for Belgians, that this is an excellent introduction to the style. The palate is comfortable, dry; the taste is not sweet, and not bitter, but a balance between those sensations that just allow the beer to flow over your taste buds without attacking them. Pure and simple, I like this a lot. as light as it is, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I am, but I would definitely make this a go-to on a hot summer’s day! (or a cold winter’s night with the wood stove blazing!)

Saison Sunday! Pours a very pale gold with a bit less effervescents than I like in the style. Nose and taste are very spicy. While I generally am not a big fan of overly spicy Saisons, they actually pull this one off fairly well. If this beer was available locally it would be a regular in my fridge.

Pour is a clear yellow with an average white head. Aroma is yeasty esters with some pils malt. Flavor is yeasty, peppery and finishes with a very dry pils malt. Finish is light but those Belgian yeasty esters leave a lot behind on the tongue. I have been waiting a long time to try this beer and it did not disappoint. Very Belgian yeasty farmhouse with a nice dry cracker malt.

16oz can. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. Mild funkiness, citrus, fruity. Not bad but it had a slightly medicinal finish that I didn't care for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
