COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lomaland is Belgian-style saison thatís both complex and quaffable. In keeping with the farmhouse tradition, Lomaland is brewed with barley, wheat, and corn, giving it a complex and delicious malt body that pairs beautifully with food. Czech Saaz hops are added in the kettle to give it a lightly grassy, peppery note and just enough bitterness to cleanse the palate. Itís distinctively rustic, earthy aroma comes from the unique blend of traditional Belgian yeast strains (95% Dupont/5% Westmalle) we use to ferment it.

It pours a clear pale golden color with average head. The aroma has a Belgian spiciness to it like pepper and a bit of lemon citrus. The taste has some spiciness to it as well and some nice grassy bitterness. The body is light, clean and dry. I love the description on the can as rustic, it describes it well. This was quite enjoyable and worth the buy.

16oz can into tulip. Minneapolis. Pours cloudy pale yellow. Small white rim of head. Aroma is funky, tropical fruits, grains. Taste is sweet and a little wild. Slightly bitter in the finish. Light body. Lively carbonation. Short clean finish

[2/21/15] Draught at Modern Times Flavordome in San Diego. Clear yellow. Pleasant fruity esters aroma. Sweetish flavor, fruity, with some spiciness. Medium-bodied.

My rating may be biased by the craggy cliffside pool chair overlooking the Pacific Ocean I sit in while drinking. This beer has a hint of bitter and a crisp finish. Itís light, citrus taste is exhilaratingly and dangerously refreshing on a hot day.

Drinkable and fine enough i suppose. Fruity spicy yeast with high minerally drinkability but exceedingly boring for a saison.

draft at brewery, very clean and light saison, tasty and balanced. I really like it, nicely safe saison.

Pour on tap, slightly hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of spice, yeast, lemon into a bit of vanilla, nice cracker, biscuit note, touch of white fruit into a bit of grainy, slight husky note. Taste was a mix of grain, biscuit, cracker into a bit of white fruit, hints of lemon, touch of herbal and grassy notes, finishing spicy, bitter.

Tap at brewery. Pours hazy yellow/gold with creamy white head. Aroma is banana, spice, pilsner malts, and some floral and grassy notes. Flavor is dry and malt with plenty if yeast character and subtle hop notes. Medium body and carbonation.

Also from can, pours opaque golden yellow with a good finger of crisp white head. Aromas of those beautiful Belgian yeasts and lemon curd that are also reflected in the flavour. Mildly tart and crisp to taste with an affable finish that makes you sit back in your seat and think "Yep, I enjoyed that."

16oz can pours a golden color without much head. Overpowering hops and missing some funk.

Got in a trade with RaulMondesi. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy bright golden color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good big. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice saison style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. It did feel like a cross between and Belgian pale ale and saison; but was still a very enjoyable offering.
