3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ the brewpub.
Pours hazy golden with a nice, creamy, white head. Aroma is grassy, weak butter, slightly zesty fruity and with a fine doughy graininess. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flaovur is lightly fruity, with apples peeping through. Good chewy maltiness and a fair amount of hoppiness in the finish. A good pilsner.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught at the Brewpub. Clouded gold with white head. Thin and slightly tart beer with a sulphery nose. Poor and tasteless beer. Not too good.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught at the brewpub during RBESG08. Hazy pale gold. Thin off white. This isn’t at all bad. Plenty of character, bit of hop bite. Definitely yeasty. As I say, ok character. Fine.

Draught (rating #5000!). Pale yellow colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is eggy, malty and yeasty. Flavour is much the same. Blech... what a beer for #5000....

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy pale golden coloured, small white head, fresh hoppy nose. The taste is also fresh hoppy, slight malty and mild yeasty with bitter finish and long lasting aftertaste. The best Modrá Hvězda beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Orangey nose with lots of fresh saaz hops. Soft and creamy with medium body. Long oily bitter finish. A full flavoured 12°, containing everything I want in a Czech pilsener. By far my favourite beer at the brewpub!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at the brewpub during RBESG
Poured a murky paleish yellow-golden body with a small persistant white head. Some yeastiness could be found in the nose, but the graininess and pungent grainy maltiness are more evident. Some weak hopiness could be found as well. A pleasant grainy taste surrounded by some her bal hopiness. Quite nice but not a world beater in my opinion.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the brewpub. Alround rating: Pale biscuity malts, a poeachy sweetness which has an annoying bitterness which detracts this from being a hottie. Still quite drinkable.
